-Agressive Heads/Cam
-All supporting mods (FULL bolt ons)
-Spray

or

-Forced Induction
-All supporting bolt ons/tune

With either combination I think it would be a close match.

turbo, supercharger, spray...doesnt matter how you get the power.
Im guessing youd need a 126trap speed to hang with one. mabe 130+ to beat one. whats that, like 600whp mabe a little more.

nah I think a F-body would hang with 530rwhp against a stock 06 Z06.

i agree. That power would prob get you mid 120's and you would hang with one. Some new zo6's have reported traps as high as 128mph bone stock.

I would think that with 600whp in an f-body, your sure to get 130+mph traps and a nice kill on the new z.

Remember that the new Z06's ET's are with street tires. If you have a car that can pull hard out the hole and beat him in the first 60ft and trap mid 120s....You will beat him.

If your talking on the street, you'll need more quite a bit more HP than what the New Z has. They are significantly lighter than you and very aerodynamic. So you will have to over come both of those obsticles to beat one. Since HP is easier to get than aerodynamics, I think 600fwhp will do it.

Why not just wait until they have about 2,000 miles on them and the motor
will start to fall apart.

How much hp does it take to get an F-body trapping at 115 mph?? We had a worked over 95 6M Firehawk at the dealership that the owner said ran mid 12's with no traction at 115mph. Howm uch you think it had? It would spin the 275/40/17 Z rateds up to 80mph+ when we messed with it. I was personally in it when we were doing 60 and it was still sideways.

i think unit said that it would fall apart in 2,000mi is because there has been a report of metal shavings found in the motors of the new 06 zo6's. this is what i was told by one of the GM workers. could be true, could not be. i've seen a new one at the track and it was only running lo-13's. this guy could'nt drive,so most of the other people who will buy them will not be able to drive either. good set of tires boltons and spray is all you should need to take one.

I'm hearing reports from very reputable people that they are
having serious issues with them. Only time will tell...

To answer the question...
I've seen one run 128mph bone stock. You're going to need a ton of
mods to run that in a LS1. They are incredbily quick from the factory.
The weight advantage will almost always be in their favor.

Mike, today in my 100 level english class we studied the logical fallacies of an argument. You have commited the fallacy of "Hasty Generalization" when you stated

" i've seen a new one at the track and it was only running lo-13's. this guy could'nt drive,so most of the other people who will buy them will not be able to drive either."

Just because one owner cannot drive, does not mean that none can drive.

I'm sorry, that was just too perfect an example to pass up
