2001 WS6 (slightly modded) vs 2005 Audi S4
I have been wanting to have a run against a stock 2004+ Audi S4 since they put the V8 in it.
Finally had someone run me from a 10 and 20 mph roll to 70-75 mph. Both have auto transmissions (S4 has 6 speed auto and I have a 4 speed) and I figured I would win but did not know how well.
Two runs and I won both.
1st was coming out of lot and from about a 15 to 20 mph roll we punched it and by 75 mph I had a good car on him.
2nd run was at about 10 mph roll and we punched it as same time and by 75 mph I had 2 to 3 cars on him.
Later when we talked he said I seemed to pull real hard around 40 mph and he lost a car or 2 real quick when that happened. I figured that is when the car shifts from 1st to 2nd and with the shift kit and tune it is pretty strong. Also at that shift on the first run I spun a little bit more and the rear kicked to the side about 6 inches or so and that is probably why I did not have as much of a lead the 1st run (wheel spin).
Anywho... for any interested in how the stock Audi S4s are doing.

Nice runs. I've heard rumors that the older ones are a turbo 6 cylinder and they run better and can be easily modded. I think they are a nice looking car personally, though seem a little pricy for the performance.

My Folks have an A6 2.7 twin Turbo (The same motor in the old S4) and it runs good. But dad and I thought it would be cool to chip it. APR makes a flash chip that you can plug into the OBDII port and add 5 psi of boost, or 70 HP.
The car used to put a car length on my friends 00 Mustang GT at 90 mph stock. Now with the chip it will pull 3. Pisses my friend off seeing a 4 door sedan walk him hard.
Just my .02.

Take the V8 and do some minor mods and you will have a real nice sleeper.
