Ran a modded GTO

Hung with a modded GTO Ran a modded 6M GTO from 65-95ish. We both nailed it at the same time, with him about a fender ahead of me. I pulled from the hit and then he began pulling back, he got about a fender on me and then i shifted into 4th and immediately pulled a fender back on him. When i let off at around 95 he was about even with me, maybe a foot or 2 ahead, and slowly crawling.
AFTER
We both pulled over, turns out its a modded 04 with a 12.8X @ 109.X timeslip to prove it. He says that he went from 3rd to 2nd and then to 4th (Said you 6-speed guys would understand) and that if he hadnt screwed it up he would have had me by .5-1 car when we let off. I wont argue that point, anyways, the guy says he is an LS1tech member and im hoping he will post.Overall, awesome experience. First real run I have had in the 5.0

I am not sure but i think he may have gears, dunno, but he runs it a lot and knows which gear to go into according to him, dunno. He says he has a shift light and all, so he was hitting shifts at the right rpms.

He never said which gear he was in, prolly 3rd, but again, im not sure if he had gears, i dont really think so though It seemed like he was able to slowly crawl on me, his asessment of him winning by about 1 car if he had shifted perfectly seemed right to me judging by how he was creeping past until he missed the shift.

he had LT's i know for sure, he rattled off some other stuff but i was honestly too pumped over hanging with the GTO to notice, i know he had cat-back though. he works at the casino's, maybe check it out and see if you see the car, its a red 04 6-speed.

I'm a 6-speed guy, and i dont get it. maybe he meant that he misshifted into 4th instead of 2nd at the beginning of the race?
