Dusted by a Charger SRT-8 I was driving up US-23 when this guy with a perma-mullet rolls by in a new Charger. He got in front of me and layed into it. I decided to give it a shot but he just kept pulling away, from 70-100 it was no contest! Too bad I was driving the Grand Prix GT and not the 'camaro. Can't win em all I guess. They are pretty sharp and sound decent too though.

LOL, the grand prix died trying!
Those SRT-8s are no push overs, i was reading earlier about a stock one with better tires, was running 12.58, 12.60's, dont remember what the MPH was, but i think it was somewhere around 107-109.
Im wanting to run accross one soon, just to see how some of my cars will stack up.

To be completly honest I think there faster than our cars......Or atleaste just as fast as an mn6 C5...
A review I read and road and track pitted one against a 05 mn6 GTO...
Now remember they didnt correct the numbers or any of that BS some mags do..
The 05 Goat ran a 13.7 at 103 mph and the SRT ran a 13.3 at 108 mph...
They are dynoing 370 rwhp!!!!!!
There times are slower but REALISTIC...
They got a C6 Z06 to run 12.1 at 120 mph....
Using the Z06 to correct these times...
The Z06 usualy runs 11.7 at 124 in all other mags on average...
A 4 tenth and 4 mph differance ....
That would put the 05 Goat at 13.3 and 107 mph (bout right)
And the Charger at 12.9 and 112 mph.....My questionb is...Are the Chargers really this fast?
Cas if so all us LS1 guys and LS2 guys ( minus C6) really got to watch our backs.
No way there trapping that high right?
