C6 Z06 is left CuNfUzEd What can be said about my week end. Everything went gr8. Today I go into town to get some misc. parts for my Hooker. She is all clean and shiney with the new Weld's and Hoozier skinneys in the front and 11.5 Hoozier QTP's in the back. So I am driving, enjoying the 70 degree weather when a silver C6 passes me going the other direction. So I flip a quick turn and pursue him.
So I pull up next to him around 20mph and shoot some rev's. Then I see the badging and his big grin. I fall back a little to see if he had owned it for a while. He had. The car was from Kansas and I thought I would at least send him home with a big Oklahoma "HOWDY". We drive down the ave. for about half a mile and traffic breaks for open for a good 1/8 mile run. So I give him three honks and we hit it. I instantly jump out ahead and keep pulling away. We shut'em down around 100 and slow for the traffic light ahead.
At the light I was in the left lane in front and he was in the right lane behind a car. But again good fortune was on my side and I new his *** was mine from a dig. Light turns green and we mash it! I hear this horrible POP! But WTF I stay in it. He is 4-5 cars back and I am leaving him. I shut it down aroud 80 and he pulls off behind me with a thumbs up sticking out his window. I sure wish I had the Nitrous on. Sadly though that big POP was my torque arm breaking. R.I.P.

Must feel good to kill a new Z06, those Z06 owners must be pissed when they get beat with that expensive car. RIP to the Tq arm. Good kill. I need to run into a new Z one of these days.

Ive read that the 2006 Z06 can run 124 mph in the quarter from the factory. ..

c6 zo6 hits 60mph in first around 3.6 seconds, so that means your running to 60 in about 2.5 seconds 
this story is total at 80 mph you would need to be going twice as fast to have a 4-5 car lead...................or unless he was never racing you in the first place.

Well if M8d2run wanted to call BS you should have done it in the roll portion of the story. That is where I loose the advantage of the slicks. I have my dyno sheet link on my Cobra story. Look at how flat my curves are and tell me if you still want to call BS. The Z06 c6's around hear are dynoing around 430-450rwhp and no where near my 408's torque curve. If you know anything about Vetts the dig is not what they are made for. IRS is better for rollin'. Let the haters hate and the ignorant expose them selves Wayne. You will always have both.

so are there any track #'s for this car yet? obviously when the tq. arm is replaced. dyno #'s are cool and all but i like to see some timeslips
