02 H/C SS vs 05 EVO
Well, I was out cruising last night and suprisingly there was quite a bit of cars out even in this cold weather. I thought Id share this race just because the other car was my friend's badass Camaro SS! We only went once from a dig to about 115. It was a dead heat even from 1st gear.
Im on stock clutch so my launch was sub-par but somehow it help up even with my new power and Mark's launch was pretty nasty but he was spinning a lot even with the drag radials.... either way, he was nose to nose to 115 then I let off because I got radar! Best race Ive had in 3 months! Mark's SS has Z06 heads, a cam (not sure what one, sounds badass though!), lot of bolt ons. He also has a 150 shot but did not use it. He went 11.1@131 on the nitrous and 11.6@119 off the bottle! I gotta get vid of his car because I wouldnt mind having it!!

Thanks fellas. Yeah I need a vid camera ASAP. I raced 3 blown Cobras as well, beat the 2 03-04 ones (one was pullied, other just had catback), and I got walked up top by a 97-98 Supercharged Cobra running SERIOUS boost!

Anyway, I highly reccomend you get the EVO over the STi. If speed is your game especially. Its cheaper and easier to mod and its also much easier to work on as well. Mod for mod the STi cant come close, and the stock turbo on the EVO can support much more power than the stock STi turbo. I see some STi's with upgraded turbos not making as much power as me on pump gas. Dont get me wrong, the STi is an unbelievable car but I just think the EVO is the definite winner in every category except interior!
Oh and dont worry about the horror stories of clutches and trannies. As long as you can DRIVE PROPERLY it will be more than fine. I was making 344ft/lbs at 4000 miles, now I have 386 and Im still on the stock clutch at 37,000 miles and my transmission shifts like butter. I drive my car very hard too, no pussyfooting for me. There is actually one guy on EVOm who is at 90,000 miles on the stock clutch too!
I know a kid who has an EVO whose on his 3rd clutch with 15,000 miles with less power than me... what does that tell you! Those are the kinda morons who go on forums and bicker about Mitsu being shitty. Truth is, they lack normal driving skills.

Yeah, i tried to race an Evo coming out of H-town (yellow, appeared stock i think, no way to tell) thing i really liked was his headlights (night time) they were like my friends M3, only more "splashy" in their shine pattern and nice and bright, i wish my 5.0 shone like that, but im not down with half a G for HID projectors or the like

I'm sorry I was just pretending to be a mullethead since I was suprised everyone on this thread has been so open-minded so far... ****, hope I didn't jinx it.
Good runs & Nice Evo.

Haha, thanks bro. Yeah LS1tech is light years ahead of LS1.com. I was hoping there would be some more mature enthusiasts over here, guess I was right! I like both domestic and import so now bias from me, other than me owning an import lol
