Default dissapointing... but kill nonetheless.

I was out all night looking for races... but it was late and I couldn't find any worthy opponenets. Finally I roll up next to an automatic 2004 G35 coupe. Didn't think it'd stay anywhere near me, but it was faster than any ohter car I'd raced. So, I'm trying to get his attention but it's dark out and hes got dark tints, I start egging him on and get gets on it. Before I knew it he's a whole carlength in front of me and we were at about 65. It seemed awful fast cause I've driven that car and it doesn't pull that hard.

So, by the time I gun it he's a bit ahead. I stopped his pull, but begin to reel him incredibly slowly. I'm feeling stupid cause I thought I'd slaughter him. I finally passed him around 105-110 and pull slightly ahed. Then let off at 120ish with alittle less than a carlength.

I t5alked to the guy, he ended up being 30ish, pretty cool dude. Said his car was stock... I immediately suspected that when I saw him, but it still hurt to hear it. I am only stock, but still pretty disappointed.

hence why roll racing proves nothing. good kill, he had the jump so it should be expected to be somewhat close with you being stock.

Nice run.
Don't beat yourself up over him taking the initial lead.
Even a mid 14 sec car can be hard to catch if he get's the jump on ya.

I sure hope so, but that night it didn't feel like it at all.

Jump plays a huge roll.
One morning, on my sleepish commute, some guy in a 3rd gen. Firebird was in front of me on the left lane. I was thinking about what kinda crap I had to do at work that day, luggin' along in 6th. Next thing, I looked up and the guy was like 2 buslengths in front of me, WOT with a huge stretch of highway ahead. I threw it in 3rd gear and it took me longer than I expected to reel him in (my car had 425rwhp at the time).
When I caught up to him (more like flew past him), then slowed down, the guy thought he had killed me, said "I knew this thing could hold you off!" or something like that. I asked him to run straight up and he didn't want to. Bah.
