Default So the Cadillac CTS-V is definitely faster than the Dodge Charger SRT-8

Ran into one on the freeway....we went at it twice from a roll and both times I slowly pulled him and put about 1-2 cars on him from 65ish-110.

Fast *** car I must say, and the front looks badass (I got a good look in the rearview) ! I don't like the rears though at all.

Cool guy, gave a thumbs up as he was exiting. I swear this CTS-V is faster than I thought from a roll.

They're the same car with the same drivetrain with very minimal weigh differences.

The fastest Bone stock 300c/Charger Srt-8 is in the 12.56s in some nice cold weather.

I ran a 300 SRT (he lives near by me, cool guy) when I was stock and again with CAI, Corsa and a tune, both times from a dead stop.

My stock race I had a decent launch, his was good too, he hung with me till the bottom of second but then I walked him through second and kept going to 95 mph where I had at least 1 & 1/2 if not more car lengths on him.

My modded race he and I had another decent launch but this time I had a half car by the top of first and walked a bit quicker from him than the first time we raced. To keep it consistent I checked my lead at 95 mph and saw I had him by at least 4 car lengths, it was hard to tell though to be honest because it was harder to judge.

We are friendly with each other so we had a good time. By the way I plan on getting a Jeep SRT-8 soon.

P.S. I have an 05 CTS-V, I forgot to mention it above.

Im not trying to be an *** or like I know everything and all but uh I'm replying to this um 12.56 and 12.8 b.s. about the srt 8's? So basically youre telling me these 2 cars are running quicker than a C6? Its a good thing I saw one @ the track and it was like mid to high 14's. Im sure its a solid mid 13 with a decent driver and all but no way is it a 12.56 or 12.8 car. C6 is pulling 12.7-12.8, youre charger and 300 are 13.3-13.4ish. Im sure he ran a 12.56....or a 12.8..........modded

I know it sounds hard to believe, but brents' car is stock and there is a video of him running the 12.5 here is the link on the SRT8 forums: http://www.300cforums.com/forums/srt...one-stock.html

I got a 13.3@107 out of our bone stock 300 SRT8 and i had a lousey 2.1 60ft time.

and the car only has 3000 miles too

It's a true driver's race to me. From a stop I think the SRT-8's have the advantage. From a roll it depends on how far you want to take it up there. I think the SRT-8 would eventually pull as speeds keep increasing. I might wrong though. The V definitely has the handling advantage.

You got to remember this is up in ATCO, Jersey where everybody seems to run great times. The SRT-8's are definitely capable of high 12's all day long trapping at 108-111. I've seen timeslips from places other than ATCO. The most common time I see is 12.9 at 108. After looking at dyno sheets it's clear they're underrated. Let the HP wars begin!!

actually based on what a very knowledgeable DCX guy told me they make close to their advertised HP. If they're dynoing in the 365-370 RWHP range that 5 speed auto most likely is very efficient and so ASSuming a 16-17% loss they make close to the advertised HP.

How bad is the wheel hop verbs in the V? I took one for a spin and it was
absolutely horrible.
