I was getting on the highway and i got on it pretty hard on the on ramp. When i merged into traffic i slowed back down to the speed limit when i seen this white car flying up on my a$$. All i could recognize at first was a huge front mount intercooler then i noticed it was a 95ish supra (last body style). Traffic was pretty heavy so we just weaved through it for a lil while when pulled up next to me and gave me a nod. I nodded back and dropped my car down in 3rd, he looked down and dropped a gear or to then took off! I floored it and we stayed neck and neck till i hit 4th then i started to just barely pull. Let off about 125ish and i was only about a fender ahead He pulled back up and gave me a thumbs up. Fast *** supra!!! I rolled down the window and told him to get on it so i could hear it and it sounded like it was gonna suck the hood in!!

So i was all proud and in a good mood when on the way back home i see a yellow c5. i give it a quick rev and he kicks it down, i pull in the fast lane behind him where all i seen was black smoke from the exhaust and taillights. But hey, you cant win um all and at least it was a vette!!

BTW- This was all N/A Havent used my nitrous yet

nice kill moded supras can be hard to beat on the highway,nice death also nothing wrong with losing to a vette.

my buddy has a 93 1/2 supra, still has a TT setup w/ upgraded turbos and built internals. hes having boost issues right now, but ill be running him soon. good kill

no i didnt use nitrous on either run... i just put my kit on and havent even filled the bottle yet. Waiting to upgrade fuel and get some ngk's.

you beat a dyno queen...but lost to a C5?? supra with a front mount no doubt has somemore work done to it...a BPU supra will trap in the 117-120 range. a C5, which i would imagine you would know the differance between a C5 and a Zo6, traps 108-110. but with all the black smoke you say you saw, possibly it was modded.
somthing just doesnt add up but thats why we run and dont talk about numbers all the time.

yea i do know the diff between a c5 and a z06... I dont know why you would think somthing is fishy, when you run into any car on the road u never know whats under the hood. the vette could of sprayed me or been boosted or anything.

If you saw black smoke and didnt hear a supercharger whine or a turbo spooling then he def sprayed you or is running pig rich. Good kill though on the supra!

we were doing about 65 70 on the highway, windows up, and i have a tsp rumbler catback. I dont think i could of heard the whine or turbo anyway.

A guy that regularly plays at my golf course has a yellow c5 vette with Popeye painted on the hood with twin scoops. Has a vortech on a c5r block. When he revs it black puffs shoot out pretty good. According to him it runs 10.8s in the 1/4. Very well done. But when I showed him how to REALLY blow smoke he was impressed.
