i dont know what it is, but i swear i manage to pull all the mach 1's in my area... This one was
Red, M5, 4.10's, maf, shorties, 3 1/2" exhaust(no cats no mufflers), soft nitto's that are 11" wide and K&N filters... possibly more, but those were the most...
So the road we are racing on is fairly dusty, and from a dig neither of us can get traction ... from a dig he would but 1 1/2 on me to 60 then by shutdown at 110 i would catch up to 1/2-3/4 ... we tried three different times but neither of us could get hooked up so we decided to go from a roll...15 start to 110 shut donw....
Run 1) He jumps out, maybe 1/2 a car till 65, then were are even and by 110 i have 1 1/4 on him, but he "missed a shift"
Run 2) He jumps outs again maybe 3/4 a car were neck and neck at 70 and i pull to maybe 1/2 a car at 110...
Run 3) He jumps out maybe only 1/4 of a car..(my tires are finally goood and sticky, i still have all weather tires on it and they arent the best for traction) then even at 57 or so and by shut down i have headlights in my rear view mirror ... great runs, made a new friend tonight with that... after that 2 Bmw;s one M3 and one Dinan 3 series wouldnt come near us... at least got respect from the imports...

Man that sounds like it was a awesome time.....Wayyy to lay the Top end LS1 smack down on him...I feel like I was right there racing him since my car would run 12.7's at 107 with slicks.

Either you (or the Mach owner) is completely fabricating the Mach's mod list or the Mach's owner picked some really bad mods for a Naturally-aspirated/small-displacement car.

3 1/2" exhaust with no mufflers or catalytic converters?

Sounds more like an exhaust for a Turbo-charged dedicated race than for a street car....

Hey now, give respect where it is due. Mach 1's are badass cars and completely capable of holding their own with LS1 cars. My buddy's '04 Mach laid the smack down on me from a dig.......I laid the smack down on him from a highway roll. Very fast and very nice cars. These were races with my old '00 SS M6. He was M5, both stock. The LS1 may have a slight edge, but I get tired of people automatically assuming because it is a Mustang (excepting the Cobra ) it is an easy win for the LS1. Nothing against you, but there are plenty of Mach 1's that would turn the tables on this scenario so fast your head would spin. I'm off the soapbox now!!

I like the Mach's. I think it would be interesting to put on an aftermarket Cobra intake and do away with the lame ram air hood and shave the badges while replacing them with GT badges...wouldnt take too much, and it could be very interesting.

3.5 inch exhaust.. I don't think so.. He must be messuring the exhaust tips which are 3.5 inches, but if he has stock exhaust it will only be 2.25", aftermarket will be 2.5".. If he had no mufflers it would be so loud you couldn't stand it.. I know because I tried it one day and put the magnaflows back on just minutes later.. It hurt my hears it was so loud.. Good runs..

he has 3"im pretty sure, i crawled under his car today to look and he his piping looks alot like mine and i have 3" so im sure its at least 3.... he has no cats, but has bullet resonators, he says he didnt know that those were mufflers and just thought they were increased piping.... i dono where the hell he gets this stuff.... he doestn know hardly anything about his car, or about cars in gerneral for that matter, but he can drive it pretty good

I don't think they make a 3" catback for the Mach1's, at least I haven't ever seen one.. If he has resonators it is probably the SLP loudmouth which is 2.5".... Their is no reason to put 3" exhaust on a mach unless you are going with alot of boost...

3.5 inch on a Mach is pointless. I have a 3 in. X-pipe (no cats) and it is loud especially at WOT.
