A friend wants to race me from a roll on the highway with a 2004 BMW 745. I have a M6 2001 Trans Am WS6. No mods other than a K&N air filter, as far as I know the rest of my car is stock. Should I be able to beat him with decent driving skills? If I want to ensure an easy victory, what speed should I start the race from, and in what gear at what rpm? Thanks for your help, and I'll be sure to post the results after the race is done.

go from like 60 in 2nd. stock you should be able to take 2nd to 74mph before you bang the limiter, so be careful, and dont miss any shifts you will win

you should be able to walk him. I raced a 645i a while back and beat him pretty easy from 70-130mph. Plus my car is an auto 2.73 and STOCK.

make sure you are in 2nd gear around 45-50 mph. be above 3500-3800 rpm's.
