Default Magnum vs 98 TA

guy comes in to the store today, and says "is that your car out there?"
He says "ill run you for $100" but hes driving a dodge truck, I glance out to the parking lot and ask him if hes joking. He says "no, not in that I have a 06 magnum at home, but not the normal one, the 8 something" I say You mean srt 8? "yeah thats it, and its stock. He says it runs 12 something in the 1/4, I kinda doubt its that fast, so II told him to bring it up one day.
I went to the track and ran a 14, first and only time, with a really bad start.
I figure if I practice I could get mid 13s, you guys think I could take him?

He dosent run 12's stock. His car is 4400lbs, so the 425hp isnt much when you look at power to weight. He probably run low 13's at best, which is still good for a stocker. And your car is more than capable of lower times. I wouldnt race him for money cause he will win. At least not until you do more mods and get the et down. Are you an a4 or m6, and what mods have you done if any?

SRT8's are capable of high 12's. If you're stock, stay away from putting money on this race!

why race in a truck, if he's going to race for money why not get something set up to race? no offense i know trucks can be fast, but why bother its not set up for that type of power.
