The only difference between the bullitt performance wise is the intake manifold and tb.. They only put down like 10 more hp then the gt..

Free flowing intake gave them 5hp over a regular GT(260hp) so its basicly just an aperance package. Mach-1 stangs did have more power though (300hp)

It's a rare car, only 5,500 or so were produced. They were made in '01 and were factory rated 265 hp @ 5250 rpm's; 305 ft-lbs torque @ 4000 rpm's (3273 lbs).

This link tells all about the Bullitt.

I heard they have a "noticeably wider" torque curve, and some magazine managed a .2 better with the bullitt in a heads up comparison (against a GT,) but I take anything written in magazines with a grain of salt.

they have 5 more bhp, i saw a dyno for 229rwhp for one once with a 5-speed, and they have a handling package. Some (not sure, might be all have a spoiler delete.) nothing special performance wise.

Most any mod motor with 2 valves isn't much for an LS1 to take out assuming it's on motor. If it has a power adder, then a modded LS1 shouldnt have a problem.

Bullits have the Bullit intake manifold, which realistically only gave 5-15 RWHP difference...BUT, it is metal, so its MUCH better for nitrou,s and it can be ported, making it ideal for any forced induction application ...

If I'm not mistaken they also have slightly better handling suspension, better brakes, and appearance mods (no wing, aluminum gas cap door, etc...)

Tarzan hit it on the head. BUT since that manifold IS metal, it is more prone to heat soak as well, possibly negating some of the gained hp at times.

Thanks for the props...

Yeah, it is metal, thats why you need to put a lil N2O to cool it off

You don't say it's cheating like the other pansies do they **** an moan about getting whooped up on by a spraying car do ya?

Yeah and the bullit sucks lol, kinda cool looking sorta but a bullit intake upgrade for a regular stang is expensiveeeee.

The only reason they ran better in the mags. with the bullitt was to justify they fact your spending much more money then a GT its the same car. Yes it had a different intake but on the dyno they were lucky to put down 5rwhp then a GT, 5rwhp isn't worth even to mention since each car, GT or Bullitt can dyno + - 5 rwhp per car anyway. As for the weight the standard GT is lighter, the interior is lighter and some suspention **** to I believe but I could be wrong. The Bullitt is a very sharp stang but really not worth the xtra money unless your a collector. Again not hate'n cause the bullitt is sharp but I got a bit tired of listoning to some owner talking like they were so much faster then a GT when its really the same car. BTW the metal intake didn't flow as great as they claim anyway, they really need to be ported or cleaned up inside to see any real gains.

You are not on motor either ^

No, N20 isnt cheating, run what you brung, I just choose to DRIVE home and not be TOWED home, but I DO respect 500rwhp N/A MUCH MORE than 500rwhp w/125 shot.

As everyone has stated teh bullit is only marginally faster than the gt. Plus I believe the have a free flowing side exit exhaust? Either way not much in the performance aspect over a GT. I actually figured they would be slower with the body kit and bigger wheels?

Not side exit, it had a different cat-back, which I think was nothing more than different exhaust tips. Not a body kit actually. It had a different "corral" in the grill which is a popular option for regular GT's. It also had different "c"-pillar mouldings. The scoops on the side of the car were different, but got added on to the GT at a later date. Not positive but the rocker panels might have been different as well.
