Black Ls1 SS killed me
Went out last Saturday night about 12-1230 ish and didnt think I was going to find any fun. Well as I make a U turn to head back towards the main road my wife tells me, hey a srt4 just made a quick u turn and is coming behind us. I didnt think to much of it until as I rolled off the light he came right up my *** and let me hear his loud BOV. Ok, I was interested now. I was going to run with him down blanding blvd, but in the turn lane for the interstate were 2 Ls1 Z's.....oooh too hard to resist. So I get over and so does the srt4. We get on the interstate ( 3 lanes ) and line up. I take the far right lane, the black SS in the middle and the srt4 in the inside. We go from about 70. I *maybe* get out about 1/2 a car then the SS goes past like its nothing, the SRt4 is about 3/4 to 1 car ahead of me as well. About 130-135 I pass the SRt4, but I never got close to the LS1...
I was mainly pissed the srt4 got me as well. I thought I would have more for him. THe SS had a tag BLK2KSS, it was LOUD. The neon, sorry, SRT4, was red, loud exhaust and loud bov. My car with headers on it (before i got it) ran a 12.7, so its not the slowest LT1....CLOSE though!
Just wanted to see if anyone on here knew the black SS, I'm trying to find out what it had in it.

No way. My buddy has a 30th ta vert M6 and mine can pull harder. I've ran Ls2 goats, beat a Ws6 Ls1, granted his was an auto, and kept pretty damn close to a 03-04 Cobra that had an exhaust (close means no more than 1 car behind). The SS def had exhaust at the least. When he was revving at the light, it was cracking and popping pretty loud.

Might I say, my friend....a nice set of Pacesetters, AFR heads.....and one good bottle of ZEX will put you out front in most situations.
By the way.....you really need a tune.....bad! A good dynotune would help your lean problem.........or contact Allen @ NelsonPerformance.com to hype your pcm into muscular shape!
