Default 150k S10 blazer vs. mid 90s hacthback

OMG. Today after work, as I was leaving the parking lot I see 2 hatchbacks. 1 late-model blue toyota(?) and the other a mid 90's red civic hatchback. I followed them both taking my usual route home. I a cross intersection the blue one went one way (north) and me and the red one turned the opposite way. As soon as I turned I got right by him and began to speed up slightly and slowly began to pass him up. I guess he took it as a challenge and I heard the engine's rpms rise sharply and he began to speed up slightly. As soon as I saw him I look over and see him looking over at me and then I just gave my mom's 1998 S10 Blazer, wich by the way has about 150kmiles, has tranny shifting probs, and of couse is heavy, all it got. My rpms rose to about 4,000 I just pulled away from him. We were going about 45mph when we went at it and I stopped at about 75, being already several yards ahead of him.
Now, a couple weeks ago, a friend at work told me that him and 2 of his buddies smooked a civic with their mom's minivan. At first I had doubts, but now I think its possible. Are theese ricers that slow!!! From the sound of it, the red hatchback had a fart cannon for sure, probably its only mod.

I dont know, I just wanted to see if anybody has had a similar expirience. I dont usually do this with the blazer, just having a little fun that happened to come along. Don't be so negative dude, I try to enjoy driving everytime I do, even on a beat up blazer.

Thats funnier than hell!!

Depending on the model if it only had an exhaust and intake for example, since those are the 2 things that most people mod first regardless if they add power, you were looking at a low 16 to 18 or 19 sec car

A kills a kill, even in the blazer. Good kill and yes, most rice imports out there are slow. No offense to true import tuners.
