Default Raced a duramax

Went to the dealer today to test drive a Cobalt Supercharged SS since I want a new drive to work car. Anyway I wound up BS'ing with the salesman for a long time, he was really cool. He told me he has a fast Duramax lifted and on 35 inch wheels. Says it dynoed almost 500Hp and like almost 1000 lbs-ft torque and re ran a 9.0 1/8th before he did more mods. He then tells me he thinks he can beat my car. I tell him im at almost 500Hp on spray and he takes back the comment. So after he was done we got a really short run on the street from like a 35-40 roll no spray for me. He stayed at my door up till like 60 when I let off cause of traffic and my son was with me, although I was starting to pull harder. Short run, I just thought it was cool that that lifted diesel can keep up, and I loved the black smoke, lol. he says he beats up on ricers all the time and they look amazed, lol. Were gonna set up a real race one day when I get some time. His truck is really badass.

I want the supercharged SS, although I drove a regular auto SS and it was pretty nice, not too slow for a NA 4 banger. It had a nice pioneer system in it with a sub, sounded nice.

For 06 they have an SS and then they have a Supercharged SS. The regular SS can have an auto, the Supercharged SS 5 speed only.

Seems kind of silly of Chevy to name a Cobalt without a supercharger an SS...I mean the SS badge should have some meaning behind it, not just a way to sell more cars.

I'd buy the na SS and put a turbo on it. I like the different choices on the SS models now, I like buying the car I want instead of buying the car they want me to buy.

I would rather just buy the supercharged model and not mess with it so I can keep the warranty from being void out. They come with a 60,000 mile warranty, only GM car that has a standard warranty with that much mileage.

SS Cobalt...
The Cavalier finally grew up.

IMHO, its in the same category as a Grand L"Am"e, a Vtec, a sunflower, and a Pee On Neon.
