Default 1996 Formula vs 1997 Grand Prix GTP

My 1996 Firebird Formula- m6, lt1, headers, flowmaster, cold air, 160 thermostat, short throw shifter, tuned...

My cousins's 1997 GTP- 3800 supercharged/different pulleys, headers, dual flowmaster, cold air...all sorts of other crap.....supposedly a mid to high 12 sec. car....

Well when I think of V6 it doesn't matter, I will not lose. Well we raced from dig 3 times I got him off ther start all three times, but I couldn't drive very well. Burned it through 1st and 2nd and lost by 2 to 3 car lengths. Then we raced from a roll 45....and he passed me and used his turn signal...what a dick I know my car was pretty fast, but I would put money on that gtp over a lot of cars..

Other clamed 97 GTP kills...2000 a4 ws.6, 2005 a4 GTO....i think he is full of it....but he did get me pretty good...haven't raced him in my new car...waiting for few more mods....

well i hade a 98 gtp 2 door and all i hade was a 3.4 pulley,mufflersu-bend delete tr6 plugs, and a big k&n filter and i raced a 95-96 formula a4 from about 70 on the freeway and my car was packed down with luggage going on a trip and we raced twice from 70 to about 110 or so and i hade him buy a few cars both times. my cuzz hade a 99 ram air a4 with a few mods and i hade the same car and at the track i was running street tires and he hade a set of nitto drags and i would get him off the line till the end of the track[we was at a 8th mile track] so dont count ot a gtp i dusted a few 98-99 ta's at the track and a few fox stangs

I have allot of respect for the GTP's - the community has come along way in the past 5 years. There are allot of 12 second daily drivers out there.

Nice GTX. I'll be picking up my '02 GTP next week to use for my daily driver. Seems like fun & comfortable car to drive everyday.
