Default *VIDEO* 02 WS6 vs FULL bolt-on Stang *VIDEO*

This is a race with one of my buddies. His car is a 00 GT m5. Has longtubes, Prochamber, Flowmasters, intake plenum, ported TB, CAI, UD pullies, 3.73 gears, Nitto DRs, and a tune.

My mods are in sig, he launches off the two step, listen for it

I think they need to add a blower as the list of bolt-ons.

I belive that was a good example of 4.10's and a tire on a decently modified LS1.

The mustang needs 4.10's or steeper.

Thanks for all the replies guys! He is one of my best friends. And YES, he was on the throttle the entire time, listen and you can hear him shift into 4th right before I tapped the brake lights at the top of 4th at 115 mph.

We've raced numerous times for ***** and giggles, but we wanted to see how much my 4.10s helped my launch. He used to get out on me by a full car before I blew past him.

He had the two step set at 4000 and sets it to 5k for the track.

His car ran 13.6s with high 1.9-2.0 60fts before the DRs, gears, and tune.

It's no secret that Mustang's aren't good bolt on cars.

That was an ugly death for him. Sit him down and have a serious talk
about him purchasing a blower kit.

The sad thing isn't this guy, he understands his place in the food chain. It's my OTHER Mustang buddy with an 01 Cobra that needs the talking to.

It let go RIGHT after a header install at 28K and he spent in the range of 5500 to get THAT NON -blower motor rebuilt and only added a set of Crower cams, maybe a little headwork. I tried to get him to go another route like a 03-04 Cobra motor, but he declined. There will be a vid of our upcoming race sometime later this month, stay tuned.....

Hey, tell him to get ahold of me...I have a high-power flux capacitor and some halogen blinker fluid to sell him.

poor poor pony.

I really dunno why a true enthusiast would buy a Mustang over an LS1 unless they were planning for some power-adders. N/A 2V 4.6s are jokes. the 3V and 4V have more potential, but thats a car I wouldn't buy unless I was going FI.
