I am going to race the Dodge Charger SRT8. It's rated at 420 or 425 at the flywheel? Unlike Chevy, who back up a horsepower claim, I heard Dodge over inflates theirs; Viper versus Z06. If you know the rear wheel for the R/T I would also appreciate an answer.
I need to know what my Camaro can take out power wise.

I do not know RWHP, but a few guys at the track with 300 SRT8's, and Charger SRT8's are running 13.1 - 13.2 @ 107. The best I have seen was a very cold night and one dipped into the 12's. They are pretty consistent though at around a 13.2 regardless of temp.

I probably should have mentioned I have an LT1. It makes 280ish rear wheel. It runs low 13's so I think I can beat an R/T, the SRT8 is another story.

Just go race it and find out. Are you a stick or a Auto? Racing from a roll or from a stop? All that will make a difference. In other words, it's going to fall down to your driving skills IMO.
Edit: just saw your post on the LT1, if you can run times close to that do it anyways. What do you have to lose?

passing on a race = but if its for money tell him that you want 6 car lengths and him not to spray.

If the SRT8 is trapping 107 and they are heavy, they are making over 350 to the tire.

Well I hate to agree with AcE XBOX, but if your stock, I'd hold off for a bit - presuming its an SRT8. I stayed pretty well with the one I raced, but he still edged me out in the end. However, you nail that launch out of the hole and he's gonna have to do a lot of work to get to you.

Is it just me or do too many people on this site have too much [Ari Gold]motherfucking[/Ari Gold] pride to risk losing a race? It's like if anyone loses in their LS1, that they will feel the need to sell it and get something else rather than mod it. Quit being a ******* vagina and race him, ****.

I raced one on Saturday night.
They cant turn for ****, thats for sure.
You should beat it with minimals mods and an M6 or a stall/A4/lightly modded

Race him...youll proabably loose, but who cars. The dyno in the low 380's for a healthy one. But I am pretty sure they are 4000 or more pounds.
Hmmm, new vipers dyno quite well, and the old one had extrmemly low driveline lose. Not sure what you mean by that.

yeah i agree with you CTSVSL65AMG the vipers both new and old dyno very well especially with torque numbers....the viper is heavier, about 300 pounds heavier to be exact (EDIT: than a C6 zo6) and is very boost friendly 9.6:1 CR
but back to the argument...race no matter what they are boats, weigh in close to 4100 pounds so the faster you guys decide to race the more their weight and worse aerodynamics will hurt them
