Ran a 68 hemi coronet (vid) We are the last two races on the video.

Anyway, local guy has a 68 coronet with a "barton" built hemi, in theory it made 787fly HP. We decide to line up for ***** and giggles, first pass I get smoked as I bogged the car out of the hole (who would have thought the street would hook that hard!?) Second pass I dial up 5200-5500rpm and leave on the coronet pretty good. I was sitting pretty until the 1/8th mile where he motored on by me. Ended up down 2-3 cars in the 1/4th to a car that run's mid to high 10's. Not too bad for a little baby cammed six speed ls1 on a tire.

Thanks, the video is just so/so but you can get the idea. I plan on racing that coronet again this time with me spraying..I'll make sure to get video of that.

Raced that GN you see in the video this past weekend. Lay a little vht down and proceed with a nice John force style broadie. hop the car out of the burnout and line up. GN bumps up and were are stagged. I dial up 5500rpm and watch the flagger, as soon as he twitches I go and manage to pull 2.5ish cars on the GN out of the gates. Again I am sitting pretty at the 1/8th mile only to get run down in the last 400 or so feet. GN beats me by 2, damn I really need to use my bottle.
