Default Continental GT coupe on the highway

I thought someone on the board had a continental GT?!?!?

Anyway...I was on the highway driving home real quick because my wife locked her keys in the house and she was outside with our 2 week old baby and she had to pick our 5 year old son up from school so I was hauling A...

This dude in an explorer is pacing me giving me the thumbs up and ****...so I honk and wave and give it a little punch to get him out of my blind spot....when I look back in my rearview a f'ing old dude in a Bentley Cont. GT coupe is riding my ***!!!! I was like cool...We had a sick straight away over this bridge so I move over a lane and he gets next to me with this big smile on his face and punches it to I drop it in 4th at about 75 and pull about .5 of a length on him to 125ish. I know those things are fast and this one was very fast...I got him by a hair!

Cool deal. Would have like to see how things worked up top. I raced one once in a blown cts-V from a 20 mph roll. It was fun as hell. Each gear I edged him out a couple of feet. When we got to third gear I had 3/4 of a car on him. We stopped 80% of the way through third gear, due to traffic. Anyways, cool cars to race. HEAVY AS HELL.... 5200 plus pounds "I" belive.

Anyways...cool run in.

Type: W12, Twin-Turbo
Displacement cu in (cc): 366 (5998)

Torque lb-ft (Nm) at RPM: 479(650) / 1600

it may be heavy but those egars are set up for a good deal of go with some steeper top end gears for that nice 198mph

I would have loved to keep going to 160 and see what happened...I'll bet eventually he would have started to pull? Maybe?

Those cars would be extremely fast if they didn't weigh so damn much.

They have 552HP (!!), but they weigh in at 5259lbs

No, thats not a typo, that 2 door coupe weighs as much as a full size pickup truck...

Good kill. A friend of mine had one on trial for a bit. It hauled *** even with 3 poeple in it. Didn't care much for the looks though, and the exhaust had a horrible drone for people in the back seats.

I actually raced one a month or so ago before my cam and clutch. It was a highway run, from about 60-110. We raced 3 times, he pulled me pretty good each time. Cool guy though, driving the car like it should be driven.
