Default Cammed N20 TA vs. N20 Mach1

A buddy of mine has a M6 02 WS6 TA with a small cam like a 224 578, a 125 shot of N20, LT, TD's, lid, etc. stock 3.42 gears and his last dyno on the bottle was 495rwhp & 5XXrwtq..
My car is a Stock Longblock full bolt on M5 Mach1 with Full Exhaust, fully built drivetrain, suspension, 4.10 gears 150 shot. I'm putting down somewhere around 450rwhp & 540rwtq.. He called me out on another board so I was at a local gtg and he showed up.. He didn't have his bottle full, I knew this so I brought both of mine with me so he could use one.. One of my other buddy's new where there was a good place to run so he rode along with me, he isn't very big so I wasn't too worried about the extra weight, maybe a 160lbs more. We lined them up 4 times.. First time was from a dig and I had him by about 2.5 cars up till around 125mph where I topped 4th gear out.. 2nd run was from a 20 roll and he had me by 1 car till around 125mph again.. My bottle pressure was around 1100psi the first run 900 the 2nd run. We go back to the GTG where I had to fix my shifter handle, a bolt backed out and the handle had alot of play in it. He wanted to line'em up again on the hwy from a 40 punch, I said fine but wait for a little bit, had to get the bottle presure up.. Once I got it up to around 1200psi we took off for the hwy.. I honked 3 times from the 40 punch, and was a good 1.5 cars on him till I topped 4th gear and shut it down at around 125-130mph.. We went one more time from another 40 punch and he got me by a good car and a half.. Bottle pressure was a little bit down but he got me from the hit and I couldn't pull back up.. It was some very good runs with me winning 2 and him winning 2..

damn.. good runs, too bad u didnt tape it. hey dan, gotta question, which is faster an 03-04 mach 1 or the new 05 GT? i think this would be a really close race since they probably put down close to the same amout of hp right?

The Mach1 is faster then the 05GT, they make more power and are lighter.. Someone got a few of the runs on tape but I don't have it and don't know the guys that video'd it..

The Mach for sure! Thos little things are bad asse. Back when I was bone stock I had the opportunity to race a Mach1 (not sure what year it was) that the driver claimed to be bone stock and an '05 GT auto that the driver claimed was stock (on two different days) and I handled the GT rather easily, but only got 3 out of 5 on the mach with all five races being very close except one because I was retarded and took off in third and should have been second. I love those Machs and have yet to see an ugly one!

I don't think I'm going to H-town anytime soon. But if you come up here to the DFW area I'm always down to run..

Thumbs up

Nice runs Dan... A little advice for ya: Jet up another 50 and keep the bottle pressure around 950. You'll run more consistent and maybe even quicker.
