P.S. SLK32's run low 13's at 108-110mph ie a good match for a stock LS1. "If" he did flick a cigarette at your car then he's an *** for doing that, but pull on him from 60 in 4th? Didn't happen either.

Don't believe me? Ask CHRISPY (moderator here) - that's his SS in the left lane; we ran twice that day, I won both along with a little highway encounter where he, admittedly, left it in 4th .
My apologies in advance to all those with common sense here, I'm not in any way trying to portray my own car as "all that" - it isn't. It's a high 12's car in stock form (which isn't that quick these days) that I do, however, enjoy very much. I still hang with the guys from the local F-body club from when I had my '98 Formula. Unfortunately, there are a few owners (applies to all makes of cars) who think there own choice in rides is invincible, and so like to make dumb asses of themselves at times.
I'm sure CHRISPY will be handing me my *** next year as his plans on modding that SS progress, but I'll still have a blast lining up agains him. That's what it's all about - have fun and keep the shiney side up!

I dont really see that happening, 60, 4th gear, well, i dont think he was racing.
SLK 32 is not slow, and you never know what he has in it.
the Merc boys with Kleeman packages are runing crazy numbers here.

LOL,...I don't know any Mercedes stats so I can't say if its a lie or he's tell'n the truth.
Personally though,........I had someone pull that cigarete stunt with me one night in a Boxer Porshe after I took him out! I wanted to ****'n kill that SOB. I was about to go after him but I saw a cop head'n in the opposite direction about a block away and decided to let it go. Figures that he'd imediatly jump the freeway after that.

I work for Mercedes-Benz and the slk32 is definatly a low 13 sec car. The new slk55 feels alot faster. There has to be more to this story,4th at 60 would not cut it to beat that car. The slk is probably around the same wieght as a 4th gen f-body.
