A year ago I met one coming out of my exit, when I had just a Moroso, Trick Flow Elbow and Loudmouth. Im a 95 A4, and from 30 mph (around there) to about 120.
till about 80 I jumped a length or two, then he slowly started to pull me.
By the time we shut down, he had lost the ground he gained.

^^^ driver's race, but the GT does have the edge. It has better gearing, same HP (stock GT), and weighs about the same, maybe a tad less. But I always say, .5 seconds is always a driver's race.

Those 350Z's are definitely overrated. That GT walked all over that 350Z like it was nothing, yet they are rated at the same HP. I don't think Nissan even changed anything when they bumped the power up from 287 to 300, they just increased the numbers

From a roll the GT gets pounded by a few car lengths with ease.
A manual GT would be extremely close with a small nod... of course we are talking a 2.73 A4 here.

Looks like you had the chance to run another LT1, an auto nonetheless, though I'd hardly call his mods serious or exentsive by any means, or one hell of an LT1.

He said new GT...the video has an S197 GT. There is a 40 HP/TQ difference between the 01-04 GT and the 05-07 GT. Not to mention the 01-04s had 3.27 gears, and the S197s have 3.55s.
Also, Ford has introduced the Drag pack option for the 07 GTs. Watch out guys, that package has some pretty nasty stuff on it. 4.10s for manuals, 3.73s for autos, CAI, Headers, Midpipe, and Tune.....All factory warrantied and installed by the dealer ships. Oh yeah, the M5s have a 'super' short throw shifter as well. That package will really wake up the new 07 GT's.
