Default Cobalt SS with Vids....

I guess I should give a little background on the story. A friend and me are heading to the track. On the way, we pass a Cobalt SS. At first I pay him no mind as I'm in the left turn lane and he's 3 lanes over going straight.

He goes through the light, and as soon as he does, he cuts over 3 lanes of traffic and makes a quick left. After I make my turn, I see him come out of an intersection and hop out on the road behind me and my friend. He pays no mind to my friend in the Mustang behind me, he comes straight after the Formy.

First run, we got from a 45ish punch, not great for stock 3.42's but it didnt matter. I let him take the hit, then reel him in and hit the brakes once I put a car or so on him, didnt see the need to haul *** on the road we were on. After I let out, he does a flyby on me and cuts me off. This angered me slightly so I followed him to the feeder on the beltway and you can watch the videos.

After the second run, the dude gave me the thumbs DOWN!!! So I posted the videos on a cobaltss forums and now I'm being told that the Cobalt wasnt getting on it, I just pulled a flyby. But, if you listen closely, when the mustang passes him, it sounds like he's on it.

Oh well, guess you cant win for losing.

Does look like maybe he let off since your friend passed him so quickly, unless your friend has a super fast car. Guy probably let off cause you were pulling on him so easily, good kill.

I'm sure he let off, but it wasnt until after I put bus lengths on him.

heh, I had no intentions of running him until after he made the block to come catch me, then gave me the flyby.

Wow. Sucks to be that Cobalt driver. First, owned by an FBod then nose rubbed in it by a damned 'ol slowa$$ stang...all on the same on-ramp in rapid succession. I bet he went home and kicked his dog.

Nice kills and its sad to see a cobalt ss driver do that...hope they dont turn out to be the new srt-4 owners...and no offense to the cool srt-4 and cobalt ss drivers on this board but ive run across WAY too many retards in stock srt-4's that think they are 12 second cars...

Can you post the link to that forum though? I'd like to read what they are saying.

Hard to tell from the vids honestly. I believe you though, it's way more likely a cobalt SS driver would be an ******* than a 4th gen driver.

I want to run one of those things. Done up correctly they can be very fast.

in the second race he possibly could have missed second gear. Then finally got it and got back on it. or he just wasn't on it that much. Either way you have the faster car.

Actually, the guy that drives the Cobalt turns out to be cool, he apologized for giving me the thumbs down.

We're working on setting something up with more cameras for all the nay sayers out there.

They seem cool enough after reading the thread. 13.9 on the cobalt w/ a 2.5 60'...I didn't know they could be that quick. W/ a decent 60 that's a low 13 second car!
