Me vs. built 2000 Roush 2 So my buddy just finished building up his 2000 Roush stage 2 (not that it matters now) with a 5.4L, built for 450 crank when tuned. He hasn't gotten it tuned yet and wanted to run me since I just installed my long tubes and ory. He's on street tires and I'm on dr's.
We line em up, go off the 3rd honk, he launches at 1500 and I launch from 2500, both spin about equally and then hook. We're dead even threw first, then I put maybe a quarter car on him in 2nd, I'm guessing due to my 4.10s. Once we go into 3rd he gets that gap back and puts 3/4 to 1 car on me and holds right there until ~100....we guessed a 1/4mi. distance. We ran like that 4 times with the same results.
I was extremely happy with how my car performed against his, although he needs a tune bad, and I could use one myself. He's one of my good friends so I'll get a video soon. Great lookin car though.
