Default 350z vs LT1 on gas and ls1 with boltons VIDEO

This has to be one of the most wicked sounding ls1's I have ever heard. Fast as hell too. Anyway these are some pretty nice runs.

HAHAHA, did that AUTO LS1 really only have bolt-ons! Pretty wimpy LT1 for being sprayed if it gets rolled up by a 330-340rwhp automatic Z28 LS1. How much power did that 350Z make? 350-360?

I'm guessing 420rwhp or so, if its only 8-9psi.

there is no way that z28 had just bolts! he would not be keeping up with a 350 turbo....no way in hell.....my guess is that the ls1 was cammed with bolts.....a cam is not a bolt on its a bolt in so the video prescreen was wrong.

my guess is that the 350z was pretty close to 450whp with that amount of psi....the z28 was prob making around 430-450 with a cam....

the reason that the z was not pulling him from the go is becasue even if 350's are turbod they are almost next to impossible to brake boost.....my recommendation for the z is to go from a dig=very diffrent result

350Z's are 14 second cars. "sometimes" high 13's.
It takes some good mods to get them movin. Great thing is, the 3.5 is more than ready to handle 8-12 Psi...

They are bad at putting down power though... When the LS1 raced the LT1 on good pressure, it was dead even. Since the 350Z didn't quite do that, I think thats the reason the guy turned down the pressure, thinkin he could take the 350Z with a little less bottle.

I gotta stick up for the LT1 of course, but its not surprise to me that the 350Z had its hands full, even with a nice Turbo.

I love posts like that (follow the link). When I run em, even on the street, much more than 1320 feet I'm outta the throttle, those monkeys wondering why you "shut it down early" are idiots.

At the end of the day, he still drives an import...

Just tossing a little "your forum" love your way

If you're talking about the 350z then a boltons+convertor z should be close.

Not good at putting down power lmao

400whp at 8-9psi is extremely good.

He meant putting it to the ground. (Moving the car, trying to get it to run 13's, trying to find traction, etc.....)

for the record, no he dont. i will say one thing, 450+.
i am the LT1 in the vid. i had @800 bottle pressure when i ran the 350.
then when i ran the LS1 i had almost 1100, which is still low for my tune. u can hear it gargling and backfiring when i first hit, then it clears up.

i need to lower the fuel jet, will do that in the near future.

no i knew the 350z was the fastest of all of us, it just i only had half a bottle and only had the heater on for 10 minutes, dont heat up that quick when it is 60 deg out.

If an LT1 had 375 rwhp, that would mean most likely its got 400+ rwtq, and that 350Z would have no chance... even with 40-50 more hp.
