Default Fun with the SRT-4

Man, I installed a few things now on my wife's SRT-4 and cranked the boost up to 17lbs from 12lbs and LET me tell you...that little sucker flys! My wife went out on a test drive so I can set the boost where she wanted it, which was at FULL 17lbs! Anyway, she ran across an RX8 at a light and the guy took off, and she followed and put about 4 cars on the guy, then the guy wouldnt pull next to her at the light...then he creeps up and asks " How much horsepower does that car have?" She loved it! Good kill. Im loving this little car. I have my old Cobra MAC 9" filter on it, that thing wants to suck the hood off!

Yup, those little cars CAN be potent. For the most part they are not up to the performance of our cars. There are a rare few that could hand me my ***, but they only wanna roll race cause they can't launch worth a crap. Still sounds like it would be a fun daily driver. I would have to take that gay *** wing off and all badges that say srt4 or neon......that **** screams gay.

Actually people have been running better from what I hear on the stg 2 w/ supporting mods. SRT4 guys say stg3 is a waste of cash, if your gunna go higher than stg2, you should just upgrade the turbo to a 50 trim.

I thought the 3 does get a larger snail... or maybe the 2 I have seen under hood of just had also done the upgraded turbo route too. Both were the t3 50 trim.

I was thinking about getting one before I saw that 98 and up z28's are waay cheaper than a srt4's im kinda a big guy so the camaro was a good choice. The only thing's I dont like about the camaro are the big doors and the long front end (im just used to small cars) but thats just me evertything else I love the car kicks major butt. Oh yea my camaro is the fisrt car I didnt need a hill to get past 130 mph .

The stg 3 is a turbo swap. They are fast, for what they are, a Neon with a warranty

Whoa, I wasnt bitching at you, I was saying in general...I wouldnt run my mouth off if I had an SRT-4....that had NOTHING to do with you or your post... I see alot of guys act like they have LS1/Cobra killing SRT-4's when in reality they are usually 13 sec cars.

MOPAR was kinda smart and made the S2 tune a bit richer. Thats been confirmed IIRC by Grassroots Motor Sports. They figured that people were going to likely do other mods beyond just S2 and that they had better put in a bit of a cushion A/F ratio wise to be safe.

In general srt-4's run rich anyways. At least my 3 friends do. About 10.5 on the a/f gauge. They all still made good power though. One made 260whp on stage 1 with a 10.2-10.5 a/f ratio. I think their fuel return line kits help this out also.

10.5 is a pretty nice AF for high boost on pump. Not on the edge, not pig rich, just safe and effective for motors like the SRT4s.
