Default Damn that felt fast

Got on it for the first time tonite. Got a little over 13k on the motor mileage. I've just been freaking out and trying to baby the car as much as possible but I just dropped the foot on the pedal tonite to see what it could do. Pulled up next to a stock TA and hit it several times on some clear road. Wasn't sure where the hell the rev limiter was going to shift at and it just got too high up in the rpms so i shifted out of 3rd in to D and bounced a bit off the limiter. Guess I gotta get used to the high revs and leave it in 3. Crap. I hope I don't trash my car with little stuff like that! In all honesty, what can bouncing off the rev limiter do to the motor? I only did it once but it just sounds bad.

You didn't hurt it.

Don't bounce it off the rev limiter in the future....but, with an A/T I don't understand why you would, nor why you had to shift from 3 to OD. Leave it in 3 or OD and that's it, quit pretending.

leave it in D unless your racing from a roll, which is retarted in an auto in the first place...in the event of a roll race start out in a lower gear depending on speed, most likely first, then around 5500 throw it to D and let it take over...
