Default Reo vs. 1 hot v10.

Okay, 1 hot v10 was the viper's plates, and well, my little red camaro's pretty hott too sometimes. Anyway, enough w/ the pleasantries. Leaving class today I was driving and in my rearview I catch a yellow dodge viper w/ orange flames painted where the normal stripes are. My car has one foot in the grave right now, but I figured if I was going to break it, it was going to be against something worthwhile, not a POS civic. It was a pretty weak roll about 60-70 and we let off close to 130ish, I was ahead by half a car. Being that I was on my low boost setting (5#'s) w/ a half-***, half-done tune and what I think is a broken ringland, my car did pretty well. Reo, out.

Haha, it's seen better days, the doctor said she'll be all right Viper's are awesome. I can get rid of my car now, I only bought it to beat my dad's viper and now that I've beat an equivalent, I'm good.

Nah, I'll keep it. There's always a badder snake out there.

I'm not very surprised at all. I'm not seeing too many setups (well, I stopped looking a while ago) that are into the 500's w/ only the sts kit alone. Now that I have my cam in I'm hoping that I'm putting deep into the 500's rwhp. Either way, the car seems to respond a helluva lot better w/ the cam so number's don't bother me too bad as long as it shows on the street or the strip.

good race, and good dyno video too. i think those are good numbers for an A4 stock block. what size stall are you running on that?

It's still factory stall. I'm looking into something bigger for next season if I don't have to buy a new block.

yeah, with the right stall, that cam, and a tune, 10's are hopefuly but a few months away.

how is the trans holding up with that kind of power? (stock trans??)

Everyone is telling me it's just waiting to blow and I believe them, however, she's holding up pretty well right now. If I wasn't losing oil I would have left the Viper far behind. (That's crazy!) On high boost (8.5#) I really would have something to brag about, but 5# I just edged him out. I don't think I'm going to get a stall, I just like to take the car out and get on it a little.

i agree with you 100% my car layed down 472/501 the first time on the dyno. on 7.5psi. i dont care if it runs a 12-13 sec 1/4 mile. i care about busting the cars that run 11's and 10's on the highway because they're only good track cars

I expect you guys to be putting down over 500 on 7-8psi. Even STS advertises 508 at 8psi at an elevation of over 4200 feet. We should be seeing near 550whp in good weather and low altitude. If I don't get over 500, I'm going to be pissed.

Nice kill on that viper.
