What was his mods? If you would have heated up the tires it would of been a very good run. At least u admitted a death.

Yeah it hurts being beat by a less modded car but remember that anything can happen on the street. It is all about the situation.

Just a tip, unplug the ASR module under the hood. It will automatically be turned off when you start the car. It is that black plastic thing that all the cables go into on the passenger side.

If you are on normal road tyres then probably not, they do not respond the same as DR's or slicks and spinning them over will overheat them very quickly and they will start and disintegrate. All you want to do is spin them over a couple of times to clear and stones/debris on the tyre.

With DR's its a different story though.

Was this Z28 someone we know? Don't sweat it dude....I've been beat every single street race I've had in the past couple weeks due to my tranny. I'm just going to let everyone keep beating up on me and then "forget" to mention when I get the new tranny/tune/4K stall/DR's put on.

Nice death to another LS1 owner

But it's not very smart to be racing when it's cold out and roads are cold as well. I had to find that out the hard way... Raced an evo from 20mph roll when it was around 35 degrees out while I was still on summer tires. I was spinning a little bit when we took off, but when I shifted to second my car went sliding all over the road almost hitting the evo and the curb... Thank god I was able to keep the car somewhat stable and didn't run into anything or anyone, but a lesson was learned and I will never race from a dig or anything below 50mph when it's below 45 degrees outside!

buy a cake and throw it at the car that is beating you. At least you can tell the driver of the other car that they now have a sweet ride...lol
