Twin Turbo RX7 died last night
I was out with a couple of friends of mine when an RX7 pulled up talking about how fast his car was and how he beats V8 mustangs left and right so I talked him in to a race. My car is all stock other than the cat back and lid. My nitrous was empty so it was all motor. He had the complete body kit carbon fiber every thing with the upgraded twin turbo set up. We race out at the 1/4 mile that we have marked off on the out side of town and i pulled him by about 6 cars. When we got back to the parking lot we were hanging out in he told me the only reason I beat him was becuase he had it "tuned" for a long trip. Why can't people just live with the fact that they got beat and just move on. Why do they have to make these lame *** excuses?

Tuned for a long trip. LOL. BS.
The only way I can think off that "tuning for a long trip" would hurt performance is if he had rich for a road course endurance race. Somehow I doubt that. If he is just driving a long way at cruising speeds, he has no need to turn the boost down or anything.
Nice kill/reality check.

Wow, the FD guy sounds like a total chump in this case. But 6 cars? That is a lot of land for a stock ("lightly modded") ls1 to pull on an FD. Especially if his turbos were upgraded (which i doubt they were). sounds like you just beat down a stock and or poorly running FD. Good kill either way. Glad someone brought him back to reality.

Yeah, I am not sure how I beat him that bad. I did have a really good race with one of my buddies in his 05 GT he has gears, underdrive pulles, cat back, shift kit, and a tune on it. We raced motor to motor, he pulled about a car off the line till about the 1/8 where I pulled even the pulled away and beat him by almost a full car. It was a really good race. It made his dad mad that I beat him so he is going to hook up the bottle for next week. Yes I did say his DAD was trying to make his car faster so he could beat me in a street race. His dad is alomst 60 and is always coming out to the races. No one in town can beat the old man mustang it is an low 8 street car and his is about to put a big block that should put him into the 7s. All in all it was a great night some really good races. The only one that was sad was some guy that showed up in an 06 V6 mustang trying to race. I talked it up on my friends old monte carlo. I told him that it had the origial 350 with over 200,000 miles. I guess he did not see the 28 in slicks in the back of the car. Need less to say that guy lost 100 buck really fast. I love to see stupid kids get a nice steaming bowl of reallity.
