Default killed by a mustang on my way to work this morning...

well, with my limited knowledge of the stangs, it looked like a 93 mustang. Nothing special, not a GT etc...again, I don't know much about it. Hopefully this guy visits these boards and can set me straight. I was at a redlight right outside of commerce, GA and this stang threw a little rev. Well, I knew it was going to beat me, but I wanted to see it run. I glance over from my daze of trying to stay awake (I actually had my eyes closed when he reved) and he gave me a nod. The light turned green and we both started to roll, and then hit it about the same time.

I don't know if this guy was playing with me because I couldn't even hear his car, or if it was completely stock but he pulled me by about two cars. I wonder if he knew I was in my v6 bird...

This doesn't sound right to me, this guy should have killed me right? please tell me he was playing. I had it floored, I'll admit that. But only 2 cars? Again, it sounded stock which is unusual for a stang, But I heard his engine at the light enough to know it was a v8.

So I got killed. Man I need that ws6...or either I'm going to have to copy camaro kid

Is your v6 a 3.4 or 3.8?

I have seen a v6 camaro get pulled by a 95 gt, and he got beat by about the same length that you got beat by. The camaro had intake and exhaust and the GT was stock.

If it was a Fox body car, or a 94-98 GT, then that is about right if it was stock. They were only rated at 225 HP(I think the 96-98s were only 215) so they dont have that much power over you stock.

I'm sure it was a stock 5.0. Your car is a little faster than my 3.8 mustang in stock form. My V6 is not stock and I pulled about two cars on a 86 5.0 GT with exhaust, so that sound about right.

yeah it was a fox body. I have to admit I'm a bit surprised. Just goes to show you should learn about your competition. Ha, now I think if I would have been watching the light closer and tried to hit it right away I may have been even with him the little bit we ran. Oh well, I just wasn't expecting a race so I didn't try hard. Now I'm angry at myself for not giving him a better run.
