Smoked a Camaro SS in my Trailblazer SS!!
haha jk
anyways, me and my buddy were cruising around when we ran into a Camaro SS, I'm pretty sure it was the newer body style. We had a quick little race, then ended up at a red light together.. He revved it a tad so I figured he wanted to do it again, so we took off at the light and stayed pretty even till 70 or so when he started to pull away pretty decent. I figure he was taking it easy on me or something, but I guess he coulda missed up shifting or something so you never know. He had a passenger as well. Wanted to say hi after the race but I get gittery/nervous after I race so I took off into my apt complex.
My only mod is a superchips handheld tuner.

Trailblazer SS 0-60 = 6.3 according to Edmunds.com
2000 CamaroSS 0-60 = 5.0
Motor Trend says they have achieved 5.8 0-60 in the TB SS
I guess Edmunds drivers suck
1.3 seconds difference is not close IMO.

I dont find that sad. A stock SUV weighing close to 5k lbs that is capable of high 13s stock is impressive IMO, of course there will be other cars that will beat them. Losing to a lightly modded mustang is fine with me.

Get Pedro after that SS next time (stall, LT Headers, CAI, Tune) broke into the 12s this past fall.... Good job. When your sittin' in a truck/SUV and still beside any muscle car past 60.

I raced a TB SS last night with intake, exhaust and a tune and he held with me till about 90. I run 13.5 @ 100, so I'd imagine that he would have ran about 13.6 or so.
Those things are real nice trucks.

Good kill. I'm surprised you started to pull on him at 70+. I'm thinking he let off because a well driven 98-02 Camaro SS is capable of trapping at 106+ stock and I don't see a TBSS trapping in that range with just a tune. Stock for stock an LS1 F-Bod shouldn't have no problem pulling a TBSS from a roll.
