E55 vs. Me RESULTS
Tonight the weather was great. 42 degrees outside and no wind. Race took place on a stretch of highway that is rarely traveled at 2 am in the morning.
My car was feeling somewhat healthy and running real strong tonight. Anyways there was a total of three races held...one from a dig, a roll, and one on the good old spray.
First race was from a dig. The guy didn't even warm up his tires...his choice I guess. I made sure mine were nice and hot. We line up and three honks are given. We both take off at the same time. I actually thought he was going to take me off the line and I would have to play catch up but I instantly jumped about a 1/4 of a car length on him and kept pulling him slowly from this point forward. By the time we shut down at 140, I had about a car and a half on him.
Second race was from a roll...can you say slaughter to the LS1? For some reason I thought this is where I had the advantage in all this. We took it from a 55ish roll and he instantly jumped a 1/2 car on me and would slowly pull away from me. By 140 he had 1 to 1 1/2 cars on me...good death. But I think I we need to run from a roll again. We couldn't get more races in to get a real good idea of where each other cars stand up against each other from a roll due to the guy thinking he was hurting his car...wtf?
Third race...spray...need I say more? It was murder for him. Not car lengths but buslengths on this guy.
I now have heavier pockets...
And as a bonus, on the way home I managed to race a M3, not sure of his mods but he definitely had some....no contest....he gave up after the second race...also ran into a C5 Z06 while racing this guy but the vette wouldn't go. I guess he didn't think I was worth his time...
All in all a good night. I am happy with the outcome...won 2 out of 3 and the vids will be posted in a couple days when some editing can be done...so be looking for it!
I'm extremely tired. I'm going to bed.

So, uh...it pretty much happened the way I said it would.
The 55 didn't blow past you after 120 like some said it would.
The results from a roll aren't really surprising. They hit pretty hard from a roll, slow or otherwise.
From a dig, at the track, they'll leave pretty hard, even on stock tires. Lots of guys are running PS2's on them and cutting low-1.7's on them. Several have been in the 11.8-11.9 range.
Nice kill.

Yea told you man...Ive raced my bone stock 410 rwhp 3390 pound Viper against my friends bone stock 413 rwhp 4000 pound E55AMG many times on the freeway from 70 mph rolls and it's a dead heat...
People think they will be slow cas their heavy but man those things are fast....Especially from a roll
