Default E55 vs. Me RESULTS

Tonight the weather was great. 42 degrees outside and no wind. Race took place on a stretch of highway that is rarely traveled at 2 am in the morning.

My car was feeling somewhat healthy and running real strong tonight. Anyways there was a total of three races held...one from a dig, a roll, and one on the good old spray.

First race was from a dig. The guy didn't even warm up his tires...his choice I guess. I made sure mine were nice and hot. We line up and three honks are given. We both take off at the same time. I actually thought he was going to take me off the line and I would have to play catch up but I instantly jumped about a 1/4 of a car length on him and kept pulling him slowly from this point forward. By the time we shut down at 140, I had about a car and a half on him.

Second race was from a roll...can you say slaughter to the LS1? For some reason I thought this is where I had the advantage in all this. We took it from a 55ish roll and he instantly jumped a 1/2 car on me and would slowly pull away from me. By 140 he had 1 to 1 1/2 cars on me...good death. But I think I we need to run from a roll again. We couldn't get more races in to get a real good idea of where each other cars stand up against each other from a roll due to the guy thinking he was hurting his car...wtf?

Third race...spray...need I say more? It was murder for him. Not car lengths but buslengths on this guy.

I now have heavier pockets...

And as a bonus, on the way home I managed to race a M3, not sure of his mods but he definitely had some....no contest....he gave up after the second race...also ran into a C5 Z06 while racing this guy but the vette wouldn't go. I guess he didn't think I was worth his time...

All in all a good night. I am happy with the outcome...won 2 out of 3 and the vids will be posted in a couple days when some editing can be done...so be looking for it!

I'm extremely tired. I'm going to bed.

Thumbs up

So, uh...it pretty much happened the way I said it would.
The 55 didn't blow past you after 120 like some said it would.

The results from a roll aren't really surprising. They hit pretty hard from a roll, slow or otherwise.
From a dig, at the track, they'll leave pretty hard, even on stock tires. Lots of guys are running PS2's on them and cutting low-1.7's on them. Several have been in the 11.8-11.9 range.

Nice kill.

Great Job!
The spray was from a roll...and yes he knew I was spraying but he was so confident from the previous roll race that he would still beat me. A 100 over 100 shot is no joke...and he learned that the hard way

100 over 100? Is that a 2-stage setup, 100 each? Are you running 1 bottle or 2?

Good kills!

It runs off a 15 pound bottle and has 4 solenoids 100 to the throttle body and 100 to the ports.

I had it dyno'd last year and it put down 427 hp and 445 tq on motor. With the spray, 601 hp and 612 tq. Unfortunately while I was leaving work yesterday, I was side swiped by an uninsured motorists who didn't speak english and now my front end is badly damaged. The hood no longer lines up, it's popped up and the whole front clip is destroyed. I estimate 4000 dollars in damage. The funny thing is, the healight is not cracked but the inside part (chrome part) is all cracked to **** on the drivers side (wierd huh?) Parts of the styrofoam that sits underneath the body was found on the road in large pieces. The whole front end is moved over about 1/2 an inch. So making 850 off this race goes to the deductible that I now have to pay. It may not be worth it. Time to get a new car anyways. I'll keep all my mods (practically the whole motor since its forged) and swap them over on a WS6. I've been eyeing one of these for a while now.
