Default New(er) GT vs. me

Went out for a little drive tonight, nice cool temps after 50s during the day. Not many cars in this town, saw a new stang with no spoiler, GT, tags still on the car. Pull away from the light, he changes lanes, paces me, looks over, so I drop it to 2nd, hold up three fingers, and he takes off. Oops. So I chase, naturally I miss 3rd I start to make back some ground and he shuts down, oh well. Much to my surprise, he slows down, paces back next to me, and I drop to 2nd ~45mph. Three honks and gone, hit 3rd perfect this time, then 4th. 3+ or so by the time we hit 105. We slow down, he wants to go again, so we go, same result. I slow down, he looks over gives me a peace sign, nods his head, give him a thumbs up, and he takes the exit off the highway. Nice person, fun runs, outcome what I expected, but there's no action around here so anything is exciting From what I could tell he was stock, maybe some type of exhaust, who knows, I couldn't really hear anything over my car anyhow if he did have anything.

Good run. I drove an '06 GT 5spd today, and they're really solid-feeling cars.

Not sure what your mods are in your sig (still learning ls1 talk) but I would have expected a stock ls1 to pull 3+ on a new GT.

Anywho, nice kill.

yea the newer 3V's are stronger than the ol' 2V's IMO , GOOD KILL THOUGH

P.S. - I just hate it when you get up beside someone and they get a jump on you and then when you start to pull them they shut down , and then they dont wanna run no more. Pretty cool he gave you another chance to run him

Yea it was cool, by the time I caught him we'd have been going way faster than intended on the road, plus a bend was coming up. I was surprised he was game for a few more runs, I run into people often who take one bad start and call it a night. I just want to have fun, guess I'm not the only one. Now if I could just run into a mach or a stock cobra (yea, like those exist anymore...).

Nice kill.

I think you should of walked away a little more. I beat a stock 05 Gt by about 2-3 cars without Lt's.

There's plenty of them over in Jersey. The fact you haven't come across one yet is probably just a coincidence. Of course now if you want to venture across the river.....

Not in PA, just a little further south, down in Delaware. Ha ha my bark is worse than my bite, I promise. I get beat by soccer moms in minivans all the time. LOL!
