Cammed SS vs Turbo Civic
ok well my buddy and I just got done putting are cars back together for this spring he has 93 4dr civic with a d16 swap, turbo, a 5 speed, and a few other things done to it. My car is a M6, with LT's, ORY, GMMG, 4.10, now a Torquer 2 cam, untuned, and he has been talking crap about out running a few Mustangs, etc, etc.. So we were going down town to look for something to do and we decide to race. we did a roll from 30MPH because of the wet roads. I started out in 2nd gear, and he has about a fender on me when we start. He honks 3 times, I stomp it and jump in front by about a car length. We go up to about 95 or at least i did! I put about a bus length on him when i shut down.
Here is a pic that was taken before the race. Also have more pics of either car if wanted

well Ive only beat on it that one time and ive been checking random plugs every so often to make sure its not lean, and as far as the wet roads go it wasn't that bad it had just got done raining about an hour ago, but I still had to feather it some for traction

Was it a ZC swap? Cuz any other D16 swap would be a waste. To be honest, any D-series swap is a waste... Now if he had done a B18B swap, I can maybe see that race turning out differently...

funny thing is, the light reflecting off the front of the civic right on the nose of the hood looks like a chevy sign am i the only one that notices this? kinda funny.
nice kill, but don't race on wet roads. you're pushing your luck. bad stuff happens that way. i'll never understand why anyone would mod a civic. i don't care how fast it is, it's still hideous and sounds like a leaveblower

lol i never noticed that! Yea modding the civic is the only way he could be fast with out having to take out a loan for a Camaro. He put a turbo on it so he wouldnt be the slowest one of the group
