hey guys, i was surfing on a stang forum..lol.. i know i know..
but there was a guy on there with an 05 GT. his mods are flowmaster, catted h pipe, c&l CAI. he said that he pulled on an ls1 and got him by 4 car lengths.. i kinda thought that was amusing. i have never ran into the new stangs yet. but for those that know first hand, is 4 lengths B.S.!! from what i hear everybody says that our ls1 should just rape the new stangs. so i dunno. i just wanted to hear what u guys think?

i have a 2004 mach 1 its about the same hp .with my mods i have pulled on every ls1 and ls2 that i ran into,that is track and street yet every ls owner says i have no chance vs the mighty ls ,dont get me wrong its never 4 cars.just for the record my last car was a 98 ss ,

i agree anything can happen on the street. but our ls1 make more hp than the new stangs.. so even with those mods it would probably be close to what an ls1 makes stock right? so now way 4 car lengths..

why is my mach that made 299/305 beating ls all the time i have raced them at the track and street and beat them.i spanked ls2 gto at least 5 times and beat a number of f bodys, my 98 ss with programmer, slp intake and magnaflow went 13.90@101,car 4 car mod 4 mod i will run any ls1 and have done it 3 and 4 v stangs need more respect , no comment on the 2v we all know about them

If you could only muster a 13.90 @ 101mph in a properly-running lightly modded LS1, then we know that it's not the "driver mod" that is causing you to win against them now, in your Mach 1...

Depending on where you live, a 13.9 in a stock LS1 isnt a good time. I think your last car had some sort of probable. Also your trap speed is pretty crappy for an LS1. My WS6 with a lid and cutout went 13.1@109 with a horrible 2.2 60ft. I think if you are beating LS1's then they must be some of the worst drivers ever. The LS1 properly ,modded or stock should beat any late model mustang except the 03/04 cobras, with similar mods. No downing stang guys, but you always say with equal mods you can run with us, but you gotta realize that most of you have gears, and they are usually 4.10's or better. That is definately not equal mods, gears do a lot for you.

It has to have something to do with the driver because the 4 lengths sounds like bs to me.

And to the guy with the Mach 1. Your SS must of been a dog with a trap speed that low.

thats what i thought 101 is crap but no lie i have ran a bunch of f bobys and gto and beat them and not the same car or driver ,i have no answer, i love the f bodys that was my first choice but still they loose heads up at the track guess south florida doesent agree with ls1s or 2s.got me

Your gears is probably the reason, along with you being a decent driver also most likely. HP can not overcome a worse driver and better gearing. Machs love steep gears. Oh and you have DR's, that will lock your win in since you can get awesome traction.

I call When i had my 2001 SS stock with full exhaust i would walk on the new stangs even stomped my buddies 01 Cobra. BUT grant it i have seen some strange things happen on the street. But hey i'd rather be beaten by Muscle than a r anyday. Mustang Drivers are people too .
