Default GT500 clowns are being idiots, check this out!

Supposedly a procharged WS6 with a built trans stall and "many more mods" that runs a 12.20 gets raped by a cold air tune and pulley GT500 in this video. Looks fake as heck to me.

Heres the thread.

Looks like BS to me. I do enjoy how the bundle of sticks floored it before the 3rd beep though .

Those cars with just a CAI kit, and SCT tuning, will put down over 500 rwhp on a industry standary dynojet.

So I don't know how the other car stands up, but the GT500 cars are no joke.

theres no way that Trans Am had any type of FI under that hood...if he did he would have been right next to that GT 500....not to mention a 12.2?? come on....that says it all right there....it was just a bolt on car

Let's see........$43000 MSRP + $10000 dealer "market adjustment" + $2000 in mods= a 4000 pound car that makes 500rwhp. Yes it's a pretty fast car, but I would rather have a $43000 C6 Vette with a ProCharger that weighs 3300 pounds and makes 600rwhp. I'm a pretty hard core GT500 hater though.

I agree, theres no way that WS6 was procharged. For one the GT 500 wouldn't have pulled that hard on the WS6.

Hmm...I know a guy with bolt-ons and cam only running 11.5, no weight reduction..in a SS. Maybe he'll chime in here lol

'12.2' blown and bolt-ons is sad if it's right lol

Looks like how I think the race would be if a bolt-on GT500 raced a A4 TA with boltons and NO BLOWER. A bolton A4 could run 12.2@111 with stock internals and full weight and a GT500 with boltons and full weight would probably run 12.doh@120mph. I would think that a GT500 could easily put 7-10 cars on a 12.2@111 TA from a roll. But if the TA was Procharged and running right, it would be easily an even race from a roll.

Where the hell you'd see a 10K market adjustment?! That sounds like a low one!
I'da thought the dealer used less lube than that to get the (majority posing) fanboy to bend over.
I think they are clowns in general, the vast majority of those owners, for paying upwards of double retail.
Man do i want the muscle car bubble to burst...

I heard some sort of blower whistle that couldn't have been coming from the GT500 (it was at the beginning before they got on it). If the WS6 was poorly set up or poorly tuned, that could have done it. Not everyone with a Procharger thrown on will immediately be fast...attention to detail will take care of that.

I have to agree, also. But those GT500s do make some sick power when tuned and even mildly modded.

As far as the race goes, anyone driving an automatic, supercharged, and at-all-modded LS1 running a 12.2 needs to either hand over the keys to anyone else with a license (including my grandmother) or upgrade to something like a TT Viper so they can finally hit that 11.9...

Plus the GT500 jumped way before the third beep (not that it actually matters on the street).

What MPH does the TA hit at the track, maybe the car is set up crappy. I'd say it should hit 118mph at least.

And I've seen FI'd A4 cars hit an easy 122mph with stock internals.
