My buddies called me up yesterday, and said they where getting together to have some grudge matches. I went with my 99ss. MY 1st race was against an 87 stang (5speed)with a 5.0 HO crate engine with gt40 heads,cam and spray. We raced twice. 1. I sprayed and he sprayed. I have a 3000stall but we were on the street and my nitto drags suck *****. so i launched from an idle. He took off next to me cause i was pedaling it to keep from spinning. About 20 feet later i nailed it and hit the button. Instantly i put 5+ cars then towards the end i could barelly see him in my rearview mirror. I went back and he told me he missed 2nd. so i agreed to run him agian. Keep in mind this guy has built his ego up over months. he went from a 13.4 to a 12.8 with just rocker arms HE SAYS. on the the spray he says hes in the 11.s LMAOAH.
2nd race I didnt spray to try and make it a little closer. take off was about the same. When i put the pedal to the floor i pulled away but this time only by like 3 cars. By the end maybe 6 cars.
The Next race was against my buddy. He has a badass WS6 tr224 cam, ls6intake, lts, streetable ypipe. take off was dead even but i pulled ahead towards the middle of the race about 1.5 cars. 2nd race was exactly the same as the 1st. end was 1.5 cars. I never used nitrous on him.
THIS IS A STREET RACE.
