Default Embarrassing loss

Ok one night one of my buddies told us that this kid with a 2000 gt was talking **** saying he could take out anyone. From what I knew all he had done was take off his mufflers...which was incorrect. I've had my 02 ws6 auto for like 3 weeks and the power is much better than my LT1. So anyway we decide to to a 20 roll cuz he said he had just bought his car and didn't know how to drive the stick from a stop that well. So I said that was fine cuz the auto's yank pretty good from a 20 roll. So we go but he jumps me and I immediately stop the race. We come back around and we go from a stop...I roasted him by like 5 to 10 cars. He wants to run again so we go from the 20 and I pulled it down into 1st and I thought if I was on the floor it would stay in there even when I shifted into 2nd but it didn't. Went into 2nd at like 4 grand in 1st so he jumped ahead and I was at his door. We didn't have much room to finish and I was at his fender by the time we hit like 100 or so. I felt so stupid tho cuz here I am in a 02 ws6 and he's in a 2000 gt. But this gt was NOT stock like he thought it was. He had a cold air intake and turn down exhaust. And I'm pretty sure he had gears. But I'm setting up another race this weekend for a 40 roll where I know I'll get him...right?

stall that biotch and throw some DRs on it and show him your taillights....

99-04GTs do respond well to gears and can be good from a dig...but you should have no problem taking him from 60+ if not less....even stock. GL on the next race

Man...I'd be embarrassed too. I'd probably just hang it up, buy a Civic, and stay away from racing altogether. But that's just me...

40 mph is not a good spot for these autos!they bog bigger that s--t. 30 or 50 works alot better.

CAI & turn downs don't do **** for a 4.6, I'd barely consider them a mod. Gears, yes. Don't manual shift your auto--let it shift itself and concern yourself with pedaling the car out of the hole.

Like the others said, slap a stall in that bad boy and show him the best looking part of the car.....the taillights!
