Well I think I got a "dog" LS2 on my hands.
Going backto work this afternoon I get this guy in a LT1 Formula that goes by me and revs so I catch him in some traffic and I rev back at him. Well we end up going down the same 4 lane road thats usually pretty desolate so I drive a little slower than normal to see if he wants to run and he does. We started at about 45 mph and I was in 2nd. I pulled a little on him in second and then hit third and barely pulled a little more until I hit the rev limiter in third when I let out. I had maybe 1 1/2 cars on him from second all the way through third. He sounded like he had a catback and that was about it and Im stock. I guess time to start throwing mods at it now with almost 9000 miles on it.

Yeah Ive been thinking of throwing it on the dyno to see what its doing. Im pretty good at telling what f bodies have done to them by hearing the exhaust since Ive owned and been around them for 10 years but who knows. I need to get to the track also. It really doesnt matter if its a dog right now anyway as longtubes will be ordered within a couple of weeks and them the cams going in right after that. Then heads and nitrous so within the next year its going to be a nasty car.

I never had either of my M6's dyno'd but my 06 A4 GTO dyno'd at 322rwhp bone stock, with a tune 342rwhp and with magnaflow catback, and ported intake 357rwhp. M6's should dyno 15 or so more rwhp than an A4 bone stock. Torque management kills the A4, get it taken off.

Noway a stock GTO and a very lightly modded LT1 is 1 car win for a GTO, 3-4 I can see but not barely 1. Im just pretty good at hearing these cars and knowing if they have a cam, longtubes, no cats etc.... I been around them so much.
Yes the GTOs have that gay *** drive by wire **** on them.

No stock f body EVER came with 3.73s stock, especially an auto. They came with either 2.73s or 3.23s if you had the performance axle. The M6s came with 3.42s.
I think you guys are missing the point, we didnt race from a dead stop we were already going almsot 50. If we would have went from a dead stop and let out by third it woulndt be a big deal. The whole reason all GTOs dont run low low 13s is they are ridiculousy hard to launch. Going from a roll takes the hard *** launch of the GTO out of the equation. Somethings not right about the outcome, maybe I misread what it sounded like he had but I highly doubt it as Im pretty good at it. Im going to either get it to the dyno or track and see whats going on.

Even though you where already going 45, that car weighs in around 2 tons... the weight still matter even after you are moving.
Don't be to hard on your car, 9000miles she is pretty tight. good luck
