My 2001 Formula vs 1999 WS6 T/A One of our local car clubs had a little meeting and drive to go a chicken restraurant. There ended up only being 4 of us showing, Me, the WS6, a SOM Z28 SS and a blue Z28 SS vert.
I knew the owner of the WS6 as I had been to some of the other club meetings and we had went to the same dyno a couple of years ago before his mods started adding up. I guess he recently added some heads, cam, tune, and true duals. It is a auto with a 3500 stall. He said he did 380rwhp unlocked and 405rwhp locked.
First race was from a dig, I was really surprised as I got out of the hole right with him and we ended up getting to about 100ish and it was about neck and neck.
Next race was from a 50ish roll, me in second and I am not sure what he was in. I know my second was right at 4700 rpms. We both hit it and once again we are neck and neck. Took it to about 130 with us dead even with each other.
We called it a day after that one as we were on our way to the eating place which is sorta out in the boonies but the highway was a nice 4 lane divided highway. Not even 3 miles down the we see one of the local sheriffs running radar patrol form the side of the highway but he did not even mess with us.
All in all I was really surprised but impressed with my car. When we stopped and talked about it he thinks his car is right at 3800 pounds and he had his wife with him versus me being just a little above 3400 pounds and I was by myself. I think if the weight was more equal he would of have pulled me.
Had fun though, it had been about 6 months since I got to play around and have some fun.

Nope no nitrous, right now I think everything is in the sig, but I have not updated the dyno info since my last round of mods. I need to get to the dyno again.
I am sure his weight was hurting him on the race as well. We figured he was maybe 500 pounds heavier than me.
