so i've had my m6 z28 for a month almost now, and my only races so far have a been a 98 cobra and lt1 with 4.10s both of which weren't veryyy bad kills bc i was kind of a noob at driving, but tonight i hit hw 190 and was cruising and found a mach 1 and his buddies from a car club, so we passed each other a couple times and what not, then got down to it started in 3rd and ended up passing him by mid 4th but had to slam on my brakes due to traffic, but i got him, and his wasted 23k

Either that or he decided to left off so he didnt have to slam on his breaks?? if he paid 23k for it it definately isnt wasted.. i see them go for 25k+ still.. that is the only mustang i would own other then a 03/04 cobra/saleen/roush..
but i guess good kill?

LMAO, who would pay $25K for a Mach 1?
My friend just sold his 03' for 17K and it had 27K miles on it. Had a MINOR! fender-bender (just the front fender) but was repaired perfect, not a salvage title or anything close. Just a minor bump I belive. Took out hte fender though.
GOOD KILL!

Before buying the MACH1 I owned a 2001 Z28. When I first got in the MACH 1, I noticed immediately the difference between the two cars. I literally drove to the dealership with my Z' and drove out with the MACH1. Anyway, that LS1 had some nasty torque off the line and a really good pull all the way up to the top!! I loved that motor. I remember thinking "did I make a mistake? Did I buy a slower car?" After driving the MACH1 around for a week, I realized that the power was there and that is just simply came on differently. I was expecting the grunt off the line like the LS1. However, I must say that the MACH 1 has a nasty third and fourth gear pull. The small 281 cubic inches motor had to be put in the powerband (3200rpms) before you feel it pushing you back in the seat. The 32-valve heads and the quad cams really keeps the power comming all the way up to 6800rpms. Therefore, you either really have to learn how to drive it or just get gears and allows the rpms to get to the powerband quicker. All I am saying, is that they simply show there power differently. Just keep in mind, my 2001 Z28 was rated 310 Hp and my MACH 1 was also rated 310. The torques are also comparable......however, something to keep in mind, the MACH 1 has about 65 ci less than the LS1. Ford decided to allow the heads to make the power and not the cubic inches. Just my take on the issue.

lol it wasn't a waste bc mach1s are stylish and get fast i realize this, and i'm sure there are plentyyy of mach1s out there that could show my *** all the taillights i'd ever wanna see, but to the guy who said he might have left off, he had a clear lane mine had the traffic, and he acknowledged i beat him, so good job on trying to ruin it, but not thisss time
