Hennesy Viper goes down..... ....to a girl!!!!! So let me ask you guys, why is it when we have our ladies riding with us and get into a friendly acceleration contest they bitch? But I'll be damned if my wife doesn't grow horns when she gets behind the damn steering wheel!
We are heading out of town the other day. And being the sick racing bastage I am I have the sun visor mirror open so I can see behind me. Well lo and behold I see what I thought was a new Vett weaving in and out of traffic at a rapid rate of speed.
I told my wife about what was coming up. She acted indifferent. I started to pout. I was mumbling to myself that this **** never happens when I am driving. The car catches up and starts reving next to us. I found it cute since I could barely here it over my own exhaust note.
My wife just smiles at him and drives normal. I am having a FRICKEN coniption fit! We are coming up to the last light in town (yet another thing that NEVER happens to me
) and we are side by side on the light. He yells over to us that he liked the car. He was relly cool.
I guess that gets my wife interested because she press down the brake and revs up to about 2500. I start giggling with anticipation. Light turns green and she smashes the pedal. My head slams back as the 555rwhp attemps to give me a face lift.
We put about a bus and a half on the guy before its said and done. We proceed down the highway a bit and realize we need gas. He pulls in behind us to give give props and look the car over. That is when I find its a Henny.
He said he figured he was going to loose because we had slicks and skinnies on. I've been to lazy to change them. It looks as though it paid off.

I am going by what he said. I couldn't get out and look I am in a back brace and it's bitch to get out The car is caged. I didn't see any badging that denoted it though. If he had slick it would of been different if he wasn't feeding me a line. but it was a newer viper rolling what looked to be 20's. If we went past 130 it would of been over as the TH400 and 411's would not let the car go much past that. But I think Henny is like Saleen. Different packages.

Thanks. I live in a town of 35k. the base for Phillips petroleum. Alot of exotics drive around here.I will get picks of this car eventually and get a good look at it.

Hard to know what to say on this one. hennesy cars are very tricky indeed.
Yu've got some TT packages puhing 1000PLUS rwhp...
But then you have the 500/550/600/650 NA packages...
The problem is that many of the people that have the 500-650 packages go to the dyno and put down around 420 rwhp ( bone stock numbers) meaning that they were HENNESCREWED...
So you could have just destroyed a car that has 420 rwhp and trapps around 120 mph. Or you could have just destroyed a 1000 rwhp Viper that will trapp 150 mph..
With HEnnessy...You never really know. Talking about low dyno numbers. Some of his clients just never got their cars bach period. And when they did they were missing parts.
So I dont know what to say other than NICE KILL

LOL Yeah I have been doing some research on the HEN. Seems he takes forever to get what he builds out and it doesn't perform like it should. In the last link I posted he has a 20k package that gets a guy a whole extra 100hp and an stretched sphincter. 20k I would be in the fricken 8's!!!!!

it could be believable either way. if it was the 1000hp viper (wich im sure it wasnt) it probably would have spun for days while his auto ls1 on slicks jus took off. if it was the 600hp version im sure both cars on the dyno are puttiing out very similar numbers and anything can happen on the street, and as for the 500hp henny he probably is only putting down 430rhp....anyways like i said good kill. and dont you hate how it seems like when ever your not driving your car you miss all the good races!
