Default HEMI vs. 03 COBRA

I was cruisin' around last night and pulled up to a red light next to a new Dodge Magnum with hemi badges. I kind of figured he might want to play, but I played it cool and left the light normal. I noticed that he left kind of hard, so when I shifted to second I eased back up to him. When I did that, he punched it, so there I was ice skating on my 315/35-17bfg drs and back peddling enough to make John Force proud, and pulling lengths. I hit third and caught traction halfway in and rolled her down. It got ugly real quick. When we got to the next light(I was turning right to get on the interstate) I was gonna tell him good run and that he had a nice car.(it was black with chrome wheels) He swerves in behind me and throws me some pipe. I look in my rearview and notice him motioning to the interstate so I turn and get on the freeway and bring it up to speed and wait for him. (I'm doing 60 and holding) I see him coming from about 5-6 cars back and figure he's gonna slow down when he gets next to me. Lo and behold, a ricer fly-by was the order of the night. I cram her in third an hit it about the time he is coming by me. By the time his rear bumper hits my front bumper time stops for his ***. Now, the the raping begins, halfway through fourth I have about 4-5 on him and am starting to purchase real estate between us at an alarming rate. I shut er down and wait for the inevitable fly-by. To my surprise, he just pulled alongside, gave me a thumbs up and went on his way. Pretty cool guy. This was my first race in several months, and the first time I have driven the car in 2 weeks as my wife and I had a baby boy March 26.(and those of you with kids know how busy that can be) Anyway-sorry to be so long winded, thanks for listening.

I honestly don't know how much they weigh. But as heavy as they make cars today it might be close to 4000lbs.

Thanks, I've only had a few races, but it's just fun to drive around a car with over 600rwhp-fill up at the local exxon-and cruise around unsuspectingly.

You have a great car. Congrats on the Baby. Those hemi magnums are slow, but good kill, or rapping I should say.

What are they high 13, low 14 sec 1/4 cars? A friend of mine has one, just don't think it's that quick.

In the SRT8 lineup the fastest so far due to been AWD are the Jeeps. Thers been SRT8 (a Magnum comes to mind that went into the high 12s, I believe it was 12.7. They are mostly low 13s cars. Remember they are around 4200 lbs four door, fully equiped cruisers....The 6.1 HEMI has 425hp/420tq.
