Ok nite 2/2

The so called "saleen" i raced last night was hanging with a 5.7 GTO and a foxbody. I flipped a bitch as soon as I could and followed em out of town. I finally caught up just before they raced. Turns out the GTO is sprayed with a 75 shot and fxbody was sprayed as well...with what? i don't know. So I let them and I sat back in my Z . The foxbody's frame looks like it twists as it leaves me and the saleen behind while we watch. Foxbody pulls about a 1/2 car on the GTO. They go one more time and the foxbody went boom. Not sure what happened there. I started to head home and saw what appeared to be a doable chick in some pickup. I just wanted somebody to "talk" to so i headed back to the main street and was just crusin when i see the saleen again and what appeared to be that same foxbody. I thought I'd check it out so I go on over there and chat for a minute or two and immediately that foxbody wants to race. Turns out this is a different foxbody and so i don't know what he has under the hood. The saleen guy told him I had an exhaust and so he says lets go. So we head back out of town and go from a roll. He gets a bit ahead of me and i start going a bit sideways and my tires caught and he still has that half car on me and ended up putting about one car on me. One of the guys told me I was definitely getting loose..."u see that ****". Anyways, so here comes the dig. This dudes got Nitto Drag's and i got some firehawk 245 wideovals....should be interesting right. Someone in an f150 behind us does us the pleasure of the honks and we were off. He shot off the line pretty well, but I reeled him in at the end of first. My auto shifts for me and hes pulling. Then he shifts and I start to catch him again. By this time he has about a half car on me though. I slowly creep up to him and then my auto goes into 3rd and he pulls some more and then he shut it down. I'm guessing around 110-120 maybe. The guy behind me said he had one and a half on me. I'd say the foxbody had a car and maybe a foot or two. So I got up to him eventually and gave him a nice and stared at his very hot gf. Only 120lbs or so, so he didn't have that much of a disadvantage haha. We get back to where we were talking before and he immediately gets out of his car and said. So I hear from someone ur spraying....WHAT!??? I've been around here two nights and theres rumors going around about me. I said "what?" "are u serious" and then there was no use arguing. I popped the hood, and said "I don't see any nitrous lines do you?" He's looking all around and I told him "dude i told you all i had was an exhaust"...wtf!?! He's like that's the closest anyones ever gotten to beating me and ur stock? yea so .He must of meant stock internally. "well what you got"....turns out he's blown and supposedly running 5psi. I told him well, i hate losing to mustangs but i feel better knowing your blown. He said "it's only 5 psi." 5psi is 5psi....

never heard the expression "flip a bitch?" I say it alot with my gf in the car, she gets pissed, says its derogatory. I tell her only thing worse than a male shouvanist (sp) pig is a woman that won't do what she's told.

I had a similar experience a couple years back. I raced a dude with a 1995 GT with my bolt-on Z28 and he beat me by about a car. Turned out he had a 331 with a blower. At the time it was totally untuned and running like ****. I'm very suprised that he didn't blow it up running it like that. Once it was properly tuned and he upgraded the fuel system, I think he ended up making well over 500 to the ground, lol.

Nice runs man.....cant take those LX foxes lightly.
Its not 1988 anymore and we just never know whats under those hoods.

my friend's built 351W does more than hang with bolt-on LS1s... takes nitrous or heads/cam to hang with him when he's just on motor. And then comes the 250 shot

Well that basic setup has been in two of my friend's cars... one is an '83 GT, and the other is a '92 (?) LX hatch.

You're only exhaust?? Full or "cat-back"? If you were that close to him, an LS6 manifold and a p/p tb will take him...

A stall and some gears would kick ***, too. Gears really wake up these cars. I swapped 3.73s into my M6 and i feel a difference, Imagine them in an auto. Do you have 2.73s or 3.23s??

LT headers, y-pipe, and a catback for the exhaust. I have 2.73's and I have no problem just mashing that gas. No wheel spin till the end of first...so I have no problem getting off the line, but yea i really think a stall would wake up the car

YEP!Stall that puppy.More of a gain than a gear swap and no more dead spots.

I asked some questions in a thread on the automatic transmission forum. It's title how much should i pay for a stall. Maybe someone can answer some of my questions.

However I can't open it right now to give you a link.

Installs on that should be around 300-350$
Converters do go for 400-750$.
I have heard to spend the extra money and get the quality ones.
So(Im far from knowing all)expect to pay around 1k for quality parts and labor,turnkey.

Oh yeah,depending on your taste in driveability 3200-3800 stalls should be good for street manners.
