Race vs my College Teacher Pending. srt4 ^^ He has a stage 2 srt4. from the factory. i guess he bought it with the Mopar stage 2 setup. says he is pushing 18 psi at full boost.
we are gonna Run at the Dragstrip in April most likely. he says he has beaten some stock Ls1's which as a person ive known him well we grew up together. so i dont think he is BSing me. only thing on the line is bragging rights. because after the race we will still have a few weeks of class left where either the Student or the Teach gets to rub it in infront of everyone.
ofcourse all the younger kids think he will waste me.. because its a Turbo car
ive ran stage 2 srt4's when i was stock before back when i ran 13.5@105 and i would finish side by side with the guy. and he was running slicks. my teach one doesnt have slicks. normal street tires.
anyone know the specs on the "from the factory Stage 2's"? and their normal times.
you see my time below. it was horrible conditions and my Very First day running with the mods. DA was like 900+ ive ran cars sense then that run 12.7 to 12.9 range and 108 to 110ish range and either stayed directly side by side or Slowly inched ahead.
though those races were after i did a Seafoam for the First time with this car. which was used when i got it and it had 75k miles on it when i finally seafoamed the girl. so im sure i regained some lost power from that. sense i had a james bond smoke screen behind me.
go figure he is trying to sell it also for a ls1... heh man GM should be paying me for helping them get new customers even if they arent seeing the sales anymore.
anyhow if anyone has any exp with those specific versions of the srt4 let me know.

my best friend had a SRT-4 with the stage II kit and a borla exhaust and the other random bolt-ons,etc... i'm not real familiar with everything on it.... The best he ran was a 13.01, so that's pretty well on part with your current times....

does he have the stage 2 with goodies? if i remember correctly they came with a race gas tune setting for 100+ octane so i suppose it just depends.....you didnt really say if he had any other mods or you did and im just so tired i didnt see them so it would hard to say. i do know they have a pretty nice top end and that 3rd they fall on their faces

naa. because their the ones who are driving geo metros because they blow their engines and poor a$$es cant afford to fix them. ill stick to NA untill engine is fortified more to use nitrous.
he does have the race tune setup. i remember him mentioning it. probly has after market exhaust.
i do have the equializer though. i got a pair of MT streets sitting on some lt1 rims. so launchign wont be a issue for me.
my time shows 13 flat basically but im a few tenths quicker than that and probly 3-4 mph faster. but i havent been back to a track to get a timeslip so i dont use those as a time.
it will be a close race im sure and im pumped for it.
