Default stock 2000 WS6 vs full exhaust/intake/chip Honda S2000 with vid

I was filming in the S2000. My buddy was in from out of town and he wanted to see how he stacked up against a stock Ls1. My friend Johnny has a 2000 Ws6 with only a lid, so we figured he fit the bill....

1st race TA misses 3rd and gets back in it.. rest are clean... passenger in each car

Hmm...not to be a dick but nothing really shocking there. S2k is outpowered by what 100whp? Bolt on S2000's don't really gain much hp, that motor is almost completely optimized from factory, unless you start doing internal work.

S2000's on their own forum claim 13.9 stock.... you would think with full exhaust it would have been in the same zip code as a stock LS1

You would think that they guy in the Honda would've learned that he didn't
have a prayer beating that WS6. Did he really need two more runs to figure
it out?

i knew s2000's were slow. but i though they were atleast a little more respectable then that? Arnt they supposed to trap in the 98-100 mph range? If that ws6 was truly stock then that is just embarrassing for hondas best. I mean its like he was racing a 4 banger or something... Oh wait....

I also thought it would have done atleast a little better. I saw a bolt on S2k give a good run to my buddys bolt onSRT 4, and his car was right off my bumber when we raced and I was stock. Was the TA auto or manual?

With the TA missing 3rd..............I would assume he isn't an auto.

IIRC they dont get much from bolt-ons. It's like he said, the thing is already optimized. The stock exhaust probably flows as much as the 2.2L can put out.

That's about what I expected the race to be like, but man does he shift slow. Do you know what gears he was starting in for the races, and where he was shifting? Good vids, by the way.
