Default LT1 vs LS1 GTO

So I was hanging out with my buddies the other day which everyone of them have decently nice and fast cars when one of their friends pulls up in a red M6 LS1 GTO. I didn't think anything about it until my buddy said something to him to the affect of "why dont you get you some of that LT1!" The guy kind of Laughed and said I dont know bout that. My buddy kept agging him on till he decided he wanted to race and I know he thought he was gonna run off and leave me from him laughing about racing me! We get to the interstate and this is how it went down......... Camera Car is my LT1 Trans Am.

My car right now is under the knife with the front half of the motor apart....... the cam is in I gotta change valve springs and get the valvetrain right and bolt up the front of the motor! I can't wait to see how the car will run with this cam!!! not to mention it should sound like an absolute beast its no slouch of a cam!

11.8 with minor boltons?

I consider minor bolt ons a cat back and air filter...it's not easy cracking the 11's N/A without digging in to the motor for any LT1 car, what's his secret?

well the cam is basically a GM847 with a little less lift and better lobes we are actually hoping to make around the 360 rwhp range with full bolt ons and the decently large cam! I've seen many dyno graphs with the cam on a 112 make anywhere between 360-380 rwhp. but really its all in the tune and I got a good tuner in LALT1 he knows his stuff! if you arent familiar with his car its the Quesar Blue TA on here its one nasty car but he's tuning it for me! He told on the 110 it would actually be pretty streetable with him tuning it so we will have to see! We'll know by this weekend if he can get here to do the tune. All we have to do is get the valve springs on and valve train set up and intake back on and we'll be ready to fire it up tomorow night! I'll get a video of it when we do start it up and post it

LOL, very true! But, I'm thinking that we're gonna find out that minor bolt-ons really means full bolts ons. Maybe some weight reduction.

cool make sure to post something on it. i want to know how streetable it ends up. its probably still going to sound ready to eat the car next to you at lights on a 110 but more power to it
